The future of the koalas look bleak. They are now only 8000 koalas left in Australia. According to the Australian Koala Foundation, this number isn’t enough to breed another generation without it becoming diseased.

Because of this, they are no longer part of the Australian environment and may become extinct. When an animal or plant becomes extinct, it can have consequences on the food chain and environment.

I won’t go into detail but when the koalas die out, it may be disastrous for Australia and heart wrenching for the rest of us.
