Unfortunately, no. I'm not really a metal fan; I'm more of a classical person. XD

Uh, hi. I'm Thunder and this is my first post on this forum! Yay! Guess I should introduce myself.
First contact with the PPC: I found it via TV Tropes. More specifically, I found a link to the sporking of Light and Dark The Adventures of Dark Yagami on the aforementioned badfic's TV Tropes page. This "PPC" thing intrigued me, because I like parodies, and I have been reading sporkings ever since.
Favorite PPC story/character/etc: I particularly like Neshomeh's stories. "The Phantomess of the Opera and the Half-Blood Prince" sporking is probably my favorite so far.
Have I looked at the important stuff: I've gone through the Constitution and the sporking guidelines and such. I'm also slowly making my way through the Original Series.
On to details about me!
Name: I have a lot of internet pseudonyms, but I've chosen to go by Thunder here.
Gender: Nonbinary. I go by they/them.
Country: The US of A, specifically Washington state. Twilight was wrong; it can be quite sunny here, particularly in the summer. It's wet and dreary in the autumn, though.
Personality: Uh, I like snark. And I can also be quite lazy, it's a major flaw of mine. I'm an aspiring author (why else would I be here?) and spend way too much time thinking about characters instead of just sitting down and writing. I'm working on overcoming this, however. Also, I have an autistic and depressed brain, and fiction writing is a special interest of mine that happens to double as therapy/self care.
Fandoms: I'm intimately familiar with Wings of Fire and its fandom. I got into the books in elementary school and I've stayed a fan even as the quality of the last few books have… decreased considerably. I'm also fairly knowledgeable in the Phantom of the Opera fandom, like its tendency to bash Raoul and such. Oh, and I love Cosmere books. Anything by Brandon Sanderson, really. There are also plenty of media I have seen without interacting much with their fandoms. They include… let's see… Animorphs, ATLA, the Grisha trilogy (books), the Magnus Archives, the SCP Foundation, Star Wars (I'm more knowledgeable in Disney Canon than the old EU, although I agree that the sequel films, particularly Rise of Skywalker, were… bad), and probably a lot more that I'm forgetting. I've dabbled in a lot of things.
If it contains dragons that aren't just mindless bad guys, chances are I've seen it or at least heard of it. I know a bit about HTTYD (both books and films, though it's been ages since I've seen them), Temeraire (only read the first book so far, but my sibling has read more), and Dragonriders of Pern, which I'm planning to reread because the last time I saw those books was in middle school. And Wings of Fire, of course.
Currently I have been getting into Discworld (I've started with the Watch novels) and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I'm also reading LOTR because I owe a debt to Tolkien for his influence on fantasy and all that.
I read Harry Potter ages ago and I'm not planning on rereading it anytime soon. Pop culture osmosis helps refresh my memory on it anyway.
You may have noticed that pretty much all the things I'm into are SFF. The sole exception to this is Phantom of the Opera. I can't explain it, either; romance isn't my favorite genre. Maybe it's the mystery/horror aspect. The original novel is my favorite version of the story, after all.
Lust Objects: I'm asexual, so no luck. If I could hug/cuddle someone though, it would probably be Raoul from POTO. He's nice and has suffered way too much from badfics and I bet he's super huggable. I normally hate human contact, but I would totally hug him. He's my Cuddle Object, I guess. Oh, and I'd also hug Whiteout from WoF. She's endearing and us neurodivergents should stick together. She needs a hug, too.
One last thing: I have mentioned a younger sibling of mine, whom I'll call Lightning. They're aware of the PPC's semi-closed status and wants to know if they can mention the group in their stories but not feature them.
That's all I can think of for now. Thanks for everything you're doing!
And, for a welcome gift, a brand new thing invented just this second!: Belgian Bleepolate coins! It's the latest craze in HQ, at least among a few people. Depends on who you ask. Just like chocolate coins, of the fairly good quality chocolate variety, except they'll provide a hint of relief from strange things seen on missions and the designs...seem to still be settling, really. Currently, there's the DMS cactus and Le Cagou's cartoon kagu bird design (see: https://ppc.fandom.com/wiki/New_Caledonia#Restaurants), but theoretically more may come. Even odds whether HQ businesses will accept them as currency, though ;)
Hope you enjoy your stay here! You seem to have a lot of fandoms in common with other Boarders, as far as I remember, so I'm sure you'll find some good discussions.

They come with hats!
Ah, thank you!
And thank you. I'm flattered that you like my stories. Are you the person responsible for the recent string of kudos on my AO3? ^_^
We seem to have a few things in common, too. Shout-out to my fellow ace who's into dragons and PotO!
If we'd met when I was younger, I might've fought you about Raoul; I was a total Phantom simp. ^_^; (Who could've guessed, amirite?) But nowadays, I find that Christine is the member of that love angle that I actually respect the most. Here she is, caught between these two love-struck idiots, one of whom is a psychotic manchild living in the Opera's basement, and—at least in the book—she keeps her head. She's scared to death, and yet she does the best she can not to hurt anyone while taking action to protect herself and others. Christine's compassion is badass. I wish more adaptations showed her that way.
Raoul does get horribly mistreated in fics, though.
Re. Discworld: Welcome to the Cult of the Great God PTerry. ^_^
Re. mentioning the PPC in stories: Do you mean they want to have the fictional PPC exist and be known about in the fictional universe they're writing? Or would it be a mention of the PPC community what hangs out on this here message board? Both are probably fine, but I'm curious.
~Neshomeh
Recent string of kudos… maybe it was me, heh. I gave kudos to a few of your stories.
Yes, Christine is awesome. She puts up with so much and she needs a hug, too. It's unfortunate that badfic writers tend to write her OOC and blame her for leaving Erik, as if it was her fault she was driven away by someone who was extremely toxic to her.
I'm currently at Feet of Clay in the Watch series. The previous two books have been very good, and I'm starting to see why Pterry is Brandon Sanderson's favorite author.
Lightning brings up the fictional PPC by name and a few aspects of it such as the Flowers, but not much else. It's basically a shout-out/acknowledgement that the PPC exists.
Re. Lightning, cool, that's probably fine. I'll note that the PPC tries to keep itself secret, but I figure the author of a universe is allowed to say they don't have to bother there. {= )
Re. PotO, yeah, Christine deserves way better from the fandom.
I mean, I don't blame anyone who's writing based on the musical for being swept up in the music and the "romance" so to speak—hi, that was me! Great music and great voices make my brain drool more than anything, and I was one of those "fix the sad boy" types. I didn't want to also kiss them, personally, but I get it.
But Christine 100% did the right thing in getting the frell out of there, and it's important to realize that for our own health and safety in relationships.
Oh! Do you know the webcomic Girls Next Door? It's based on another comic, Roommates, that features a bunch of fictional characters living together in an apartment building in a sort of afterlife, following their stories. Roommates focuses on Erik rooming with Jareth the Goblin-king (Labyrinth) and Inspector Javert (Les Miserables) rooming with Commodore Norrington (Pirates of the Caribbean).
GND focuses on Sarah (Labyrinth) who's rooming with Christine, and both are trying to do normal college things following close encounters with weirdo semi-mystical stalker ex-boyfriends. And it's awesome. Christine is dating Raoul, and she's a sassy boss who still has sympathy for Erik but doesn't take any of his crap. Absolutely glorious portrayal. ^_^ First comic page here. Art improves by leaps and bounds as it goes on, and Pika is just awesome anyway.
~Neshomeh
Ooh, that's definitely worth checking out. Thanks for the recommendation!
I don't post on the Board nearly as much as I should because I'm mostly active in the Discord, but hello! Glad to see another dragon lover here, I had a whole phase where I read absolutely everything about dragons that I could get my hands on. Though somehow I managed to go without reading Wings of Fire until a friend recently lent me the first set of books.
My gift to you is a hecking cool dragon poster.
Your gift is very much appreciated! Thanks.
It's nice to see someone else familiar with the Wings of Fire series - been a while since I read the books, but they're prolly one of the biggest influences on my writing as of lately. I even wrote a mission for the series some years back, though looking back on it I'm ashamed to say it's by far the one that's aged the worst with time.
Anyways, welcome to the Board! Hope you enjoy the place - it's surprisingly chill, all things considered.
Thanks! WoF is close to my heart, even if I have a tendency to ignore the aspects of canon I dislike. I'm a very "pick and choose" person when it comes to my personal interpretation of books, although I acknowledge the canon before changing any part of it, of course.
Have your very own hand-drawn logo!
Thank you! I don't think the logo is appearing on the ancient device I'm using now, unless it's metaphorical…
Ah, thanks for clearing it up and being understanding about it.
I’m Linstar! If you’ve been lurking for a while you’ve probably seen me here. I’m male (and my name sounds like a Warriors character, apparently), and I share a lot of the fandoms you mentioned.
As far as stories with nonantagonist dragons... dare I recommend Eragon? It’s got some interesting ideas, even if the main character’s a bit of a Stu.
As for Lightning’s stories... are they going to be posted publically? I think that might be necessary to know.

PS: have a Pillow of Snuggle. It is a pillow of unlimited snugglebilities.
Lightning told me they probably won't publish the story they mention the PPC in, since it's mostly a writing exercise.
And coincidentally, Lightning has read both Warrior Cats (they intend to read all the books, all 90+ of them) as well as the first two Inheritance Cycle books. The latter is worth looking into, although the Inheritance Cycle has something of a… bad reputation among PPCers from what I can tell. Heh. Not to mention finding time to read them between all the books I'm already in the middle of reading. I'll figure something out, hopefully.
And thanks for the pillow!
Do you like the song “Thunder” by Imagine Dragons?
—Ls
Unfortunately, no. I'm not really a metal fan; I'm more of a classical person. XD
Imagine Dragons is more pop, honestly. And Thunder is not, imo, their best song. It’s kinda mediocre.
—Ls is an EDM guy. Specifically melodic bass.
So much so that I had to edit the wiki page to be more balanced criticism than angry rant. Which I did. shrugs And I’ve never actually read Warrior Cats. Someone just told me that my username sounded like that. shrugs again
As far as writing a story that mentions the PPC... dons paper-mâché ‘I am not a PG’ hat for legal purposes I mean, if Lightning has a story/fanfic that just mentions the PPC, and no one but you guys reads it... I think that’d be fine. Though I would wait for an Oldbie Opinion (which is not what mine is) before I’d say yes, absolutely.
Glad you like the pillow! I hope you can stick around, and be friends.
