Not an event, though. A straightforward RP is probably the easiest option - it's basically 'fire and forget', if you can come up with a premise. More complex events, naturally, take more time out of the starter.

One suggestion, if people were interested, would be 'the ships you want to see': list the ships you'd love to read but have never seen (crossover or in-canon), and people can wander through and see if anything inspires them to write it. It'd basically be a 'stuff about us PPCers' thread, with the possibility of stories wandering in over the next month or so.

("But that would mean the stories weren't in the same thread as the beginning!" Yes, I know. That's how we did the first Shipfest, y'know. ;) In this case, since the stories would be full-fledged fanfic, they could simply be legitimate plugs which mention they were inspired by the thread)
