I've been gone for a really long time, and I wouldn't be surprised if nobody remembered me.
I never got Permission, but I have co-written with someone who has.
So hey, Voyd. I seem to remember you had a... somewhat rocky time of things. [Checks] Yeah.
Okay. I'm not saying anything at all about your projected future behaviour; this is just a friendly reminder of what was said... virtually the last time you posted. The original post was by VixenMage, and while a lot of it isn't relevant, some parts are:
Participation is not just posting threads. You've posted a lot of threads - actually, to the point where it's bordered on thread-spamming, pushing other topics off the edge before their time. But I have not seen you reply to anyone else's threads, and even on your own threads, I have seen you outright ignore any replies disagreeing with you. This is Not Okay. The PPC is not a sounding box to hear your own voice echoed, it's a forum for discussion from all sides. To that end, I would like to see you stop posting all your own threads, and start engaging other people. Allow your interest to be engaged by new things! This is an important part of being a part of a community.
(Source here, but the rest of it's about Permission)
Again, I'm not intending to say, imply, or suggest that you intend to continue in that line of behaviour; I'm just making sure you're aware of what the problems were.
And aside from all that - welcome back a'Board. Have fun!

I've done a lot more reading since then. Laburnum's stories are still my favorite, but I've read stuff from all over the Wiki..
And yet somehow I haven't read Tawaki's stuff... Ah well, he's one of the outliers, yes?
Also, Valon's article on the wiki has been reduced to a redirect. The Gods of Retcon have him in their clutches (read: I'm completely revising his character).
I know it's what I was after before, but I don't expect Permission yet. I'm mainly back so I can learn how to write in general... and hey, I've been gone for so long, I'd need to restart the "get to know everyone" process anyway.
...I will be happy to help you out with regards to how things are done around here. I joined the PPC with the same goals in mind (though if you'll kindly excuse a little boasting on my end, I actually managed to get Permission within less than a month). If you need a beta-reader for your future writings, just let me know!
Have a scientifically accurate Pterodactylus and one of my own shed feathers! Careful with the latter, it's pretty sharp...
I've read your missions. Mainly it was because I'm always trying to find minis, but they're pretty good! Are any Mini-Boulders up for adoption?
Thanks so much! My latest one's been a bit of trouble since I'm still getting the hang of writing my DMS agents, but I'll live.
I don't actually plan to adopt the mini-Boulders, since rocks that show up just in time to trip you just aren't really my thing, nor is Indiana Jones a preferred fandom of mine. I'm tempted to keep Indania just because it was the first ever discovered, but that's about it...
Seriously, is this turning into a competition?
Anyway, good to see you! Never met you before. Have this fancy pencil with pink and urple stripes all along the sides.
Here comes a gift! Uh... *rummages through massive pile of debris around computer* Lemme see... here, have a package of urple, wilver, and blue highlighters!
I give you my traditional newbie gift: Movie-theater popcorn with extra butter! :)
Have a humming pocket mammoth! If the urple bow around his neck becomes too painful to look at, feel free to remove it.

...it's the musical inclination. And once you've got Urple Bow Records, songfics can't be far behind.
