And something to consider in so far as... well, not so much 'badfic' but very far out-of-character fic goes.

Being in the military, I use Fanfic and MLP:FiM and all the other shows and games I love as a way to unwind and decompress after my work shift. There's a lot of good stuff out there that takes some serious digging to get to, and most of it I take in stride.

But, something I've always had trouble dealing with is -The Feels-. Not because I don't mind the emotions it brings or a well crafted feel-fest, [s]nor because it sometimes makes me curl up in a corner hugging my Twilight plushie because I feel so damn lonely...[/s]

... Right, strike that line out.

No, it bothers me because some of these feel fests, in particular the one I wish to share today, one that I have a love/hate relation with, is just beautiful because I can relate with the story on a few different levels that I don't want to talk about, but also because it's simply well told, but pisses me off because it's really, really, REALLY out of character/in character.

Said story (more comic, now animation with ok voice acting) is 'I'm So Proud of You', or the 'Fluttershy is Chicken's Mom Theory'.

So back to the point, sorta kinda, is this thought- in so far as PPC goes, how does something like 'I'm So Proud of You' rate in so far as fic goes?

Again, it's not a -bad- fic persay. Honestly, I'd even go so far to say as it's good, if not great for what it is. But the OOCness of Fluttershy for what caused her pregnancy is just loop-de-loopin' out there.

Blugh. I dunno. Just wanted to put my thoughts down and maybe start up a conversation. It's kinda boring lurking if no one's talking...
