Hmmmm, whelp, this is gonna be a train wreck, but frak it, I'm off deployment!
So, allow me to introduce myself, I'm Ashley Glocker, Which is close enough to real name status to leave it at that. I'm young 20's which is as close to my age as I'll ever tell you, though I'll tell you I was born on leap day so you can figure it yourself I'm sure.
I've been writing fanfiction and roleplaying since I've been about... 12? Mmm, early middle school late elementary school anyway. I've always loved a well-told story or a interesting setting and have been reading full sized chapter books since I was in kindergarten. (It was Holes. Still love that book...)
As I've grown older, my writing and reading has grown quite well, though I've gotten very little success as a fanfic writer, mostly due to my recent (by three years now) change in career status by joining the US Military Service. Deployments make posting updates difficult.
I happened upon this merry little place just yesterday in fact. The idea of a 'badfic fixing/destroying' agency is one I've heard before but I wasn't aware of such a large community, much less the amount of quite-well written fanfics about it out there, and a few authors I know decently from reading their fics even are PPC members. (Looking at Herr Wozzeck here. Still Love Mass Vex.)
*glances at small clipboard in hand, scrolling down the checklist* Lets see, name, age, job status, why I'm even saying anything... oh, right. Fandoms.
Right, so, fandoms. I'm a Brony, I like Doctor Who but I'm not a Whovian, mostly because the only Doctor Who episode I've actually gotten to watch all the way through is 'Blink'. I -will- make you Praise the Sun or participate in Jolly Co-Operation, I've run the Shadows a few times chummer, and I promise to attempt to not rant your ear off about why the 'heat sinks' mechanic from Mass Effect 2 and 3 are horseapples.
In real life, my time can be limited due to my working schedule and deployments, which can lead to me suddenly vanishing. Don't worry, I'll be ok. Probably.
Feel free to ask any questions, I'll have an answer. And please forgive me if I swear a little here and there- You can take a sailor off the sea but you can't clean off his salt.
Here's a bottomless bag for holding all your other newbie gifts. I'm a Navy brat, though Mom got out before she married my Dad and he retired to civilian life when I was little; which branch are you?
Big Deck Navy.
And a bottomless seabag? Oorah, I appreciate it! Just uh... how do I get things -out- of it?
I don't know if newbies are allowed to give people things, so have a nonexistent kitten. :)
It's fine. You can pet my Rapidash if you want. Just uh... don't stroke her mane. It burns.
Hellos there!
I just wanted to start by saying thank you for your service. =)
Is the only reason you haven't gotten through other episodes of Doctor Who is that you just haven't had a chance to? I can understand that, I've only recently started watching the episodes in order after catching a few episodes here and there. Blink is one of my favorite episodes, although angel statues now scare the beejoobies out of me. If you're limited on time, I'm sure some PPC person or another will be able to give you a good list of episodes to watch!
Partially that, partially because there is so many other things I want to read, and mostly because fanfiction, books, and video games take almost all of my 'media' time. I don't really watch TV (the Armed Forces Network leaves something to be desired) and beyond owning all the MLP episodes on iTunes, Netflix is still negotiating with Japan's Media groups to work out here, so Netflix isn't really an option, and honestly, I don't understand torrenting or how it works and don't really trust it, especially when Brick is pretty much my only option for internet right now.
... Oh, right. Brick 4.0 is my hand made ASUS G-Series gaming laptop. She's a little outdated now, but I literally put her together myself, as I have with every laptop I've owned... And all of them have been named Brick.
I welcome you welcomely with redundant redundancies!

*glares down the thread* Darn it, hS. Next time, I swear I shall get the first poke.
*claims second poke*
Anyhow, welcome to our fairly insane community. I believe you'll fit right in.
Please accept this gift of cold chicken soup! It has mutated just a bit since I stored it in the fridge. Don't worry, it's won't bite. Much.
~Kitty
Twi, flamethrower.
*Watches the soup become hot, purified chicken soup via fire*
Lovely~ I was feeling a little peckish! *pokes* Got a spoon?
I want it back.
Got it. Thank you.
*cleans the spoon* Here ya go. Thank you.
Have a bag of pebbles and a Random Shiny Object. Glad to have you here!
So many shiny things! *holds up the sparkling pokeball* Well, at least I have a place to keep my Rapidash now...
Hello and welcome!
I hereby have given to you a lined Infinite Notebook, complete with urple covers and wilver bindings. Please please don't look at it straight on. I fear for your eyes.
-Aila
Wow that's shiny. Hang on.
*comes back with sunglasses* I'm gonna need it for all the urple stuff I'm getting.
Still infinite notebook, whoo!
... Can you even tear pages out of a infinite notebook?
Welcome to the Board! have some of my world-famous hydrophobic water to commemorate the event. It swings, it jives!
Nice to see another Mass Effect fan around. So... about the three-colour choice... red, blue or green? No matter how I look at it, I think the red choice is the best for the galaxy.
Red is pretty much the immediate fix, and definitely is a great choice for the galaxy, and honestly, I'd go with that one over Blue -forever-. Green is... k. And if we talk EC, I'm cool with the 'face it with dignity' path too. Fits the story better...
Have a Lyra plushie (no suggestive holes, promise!), a Rapidash (aka Angry Twilight) and one of my shed feathers (watch it, it's sharp!)!
Meant to say 'Rapidash toy', like an MLP figure. Someone already gave you a real Rapidash, apparently ^^;
Ah we'll. Have a scientifically accurate Rhamphorhynchus as compensation! XD
Oh, look, another soldier!
-Salutes-
-Offers a cup of tea-
-Des, who unfortunately is not British
Thanks for the tea, but I'm content with my rum for now.
Want a glass? It's Kraaaackeeennn.
Not posh enough. :P
-Offers scones and jam-
Bwah... you don't like Rum? How can you not like RUM? It's like, not liking oxygen or sleeping.
Fine, if you need something fancy, I suppose I could break out the Single Barrel Jack Danial's and the Whiskey Sniffers.
That's more like it.
Two newbies in so many days, and both bronies! Fascinating!
First and foremost, a sincere thank-you for your service. I know that I definitely would not be able to make it in the military.
Secondly, your newbie gift.
*rummages through Pokemon-trainer-issue bag of holding*
Here, have a Rapidash! Why a Rapidash? Three words: "Feeling Pinkie Keen."
... Thank you... thank you so much. *Hugs the Rapidash close*
I am going to brush your mane and feed you oats and apples and call you Twi~
And please, no thanks required friend. I'm more then happy to do what I do. I mean, shoot, I get to live in Japan! Sure, deployments suck, but hey, it just makes my job that much more satisfying when I get off of deployment, especially when I come back to updates of my favorite comics and fics and get to download them for reading material for next cruise.
Which also is why it's so important to me that the PPC's work exists and why when I looked into it I just had to join in in some form or fashion. After all, badfics aren't fun to read if you can't switch to a bunch of good fics because that's all you had downloaded and you won't get internet access for the next month or two.
Greetings! You'll be seeing me almost never because I pop in and out, but bah to that, this is about you.
Newbie gift, newbie gift...
Ah, yes.
I present to thee a deck of tarot cards. Don't put them face down- the backs are wilver and urple.
Lovely, thank you! I'm sure it'll come in handy eventually...
Has anyone done it yet... no? Brilliant. *poke poke* First poke!
Anyway, hi. Hope you enjoy your stay!
hS
Roger Copy. The Poke Wars will begin momentarily... once I get back from the head anyway.
Have some popcorn and a plushie of your favorite pony!
*Glomps a alicorn Twilight plushie happily* Why thank you! Everything seems pretty quiet right now, but I'm sure this popcorn will come to good use eventually! At the very least I'm sure I can use it to lure Pinkie Pie or Discord around.
And another brony to boot! Awesome! Have a trumpeting Stymphalian death bird! Its feathers are really sharp and colored urple, so be careful!
And I'm an Air Force brat, myself. Nice to meetcha!
Stymphalian... wha? Well, I'm sure it'll come in handy at some point or another... at the very least I'm sure I can make something shiny from it's feathers, even if they're urple...
*winces and puts on sunglasses* Ouch. Yeah, those are seriously urple. I don't even want to know how this thing exists.
Chair Force huh? Cool shit. My Dad works for Lockheed Martian and Raytheon as one of their Mil Contractors, so we lived right outside the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
OH. Forgot to mention- I currently live in Japan. Just sayin' in advanced so I don't forget it again.
