Darkness and Dreams: An excellent and sort-of steampunk Homestuck AU. I actually think I originally opened it because I thought it would be stupid, but I got hooked right away. The characters, especially the Alpha kids, are portrayed almost perfectly and the writing is really good for the most part. Also, the AU world itself is very well-established. Currently in-progress, but updated regularly.

Jake English's Mysterious Theatre of Scientific Romance from the Year 3000: This just cracks me up. It's Homestuck characters reviewing bad fanfiction. The writing isn't the best ever and sometimes the characters, especially Jake and Karkat, get a bit out of character, but it's pretty good. The catch is, just like Jake canonically likes all movies, here Jake likes all fanfiction, including such masterpieces as "Dave Stdider Pokemon Traner" and "Thirty Hs."

Home with the Fairies: A well-thought-out and well-written deconstruction of the clichéd girl in Middle-earth plot. Maddie is a believable heroine who wakes up in Middle-earth one day in the middle of nowhere, doesn't speak the language, isn't instantly buddies with all the mains (the first several chapters are very OC-heavy, and several OCs remain in the plot up to the current point, but they're really good OCs), and has a believable and subtle character arc. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in a while, but it's still well worth the read.
