I used to write Harry Potter fanfic on there, until I realized I was writing a Sue and stopped in horror. :P
Anyway, welcome aBoard! As a present, I give you a mewing pocket shark with an urple bow tied around his neck. He only eats fanbrats though, so you're safe.
Uh . . . hi! I'm Thantosiet, though I also go by Michelle the Editor on the Pit. I've been reading PPC stories for years, having discovered it via TV Tropes, and finally decided I should at least get involved. Incidentally, Jay and Acacia introduced me to the very concept of writing and publishing fanfiction on the internet, which saved me from inflicting my embarrassing early teen writing on the world.
Otherwise, I'm from the New England area, I've got a lot of fandoms I enjoy, mostly speculative fiction of some sort or another--Power Rangers, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Pacific Rim, the Marvel cinematic universe, Firefly, the Dresden Files, Attack on Titan, the list goes on. I also have a PPC-esque series in Power Rangers which I really need to update someday . . .

Yes indeed; I admit my knowledge of Marvel in terms of the comics is based almost wholly on what Linkara's told me, but after Guardians of the Galaxy I really hope their future ideas do well.
You like Linkara too? I've learned a lot about comics from him as well. Have you seen The Red Hood and the Outlaws reveiws? It's my favorite.
Oh yes, though after a while some of the reviews can blur together a bit. I'm a huge fan of his storylines, which tend to be epic and creepy and full of the right kind of fanservice. They're also a perfect response to the ad hominem attack "let's see you do better than these stories you're criticizing." Though I'm not sure how often he's actually gotten that, given how bad most of his targets are.
Good to see that you are fighting the good fight. I have never published on the Pit itself, but I have publish some pretty bad stuff on other places and have since stopped. Hopefully after spending some more time around PPC, I will be able to get some good stuff going!
Anyway, of the things you listed, I am mostly familiar with Power Rangers. What is your favorite season? Also, have a Rorschach Book ( Changes according to your current reading interests. Think of it as a book your mind automatically writes just for you!)
I'm sure you will--there seem to be plenty of good writers around to help, after all. My favorite season is RPM; solid characters, clever writing and self-referential humor, what's not to love? What about you?

Well, RPM happens to be the last season I have actually watched to the end. I really should catch up sometime!
Linkara's History of Power Rangers series? It's a both really thoughtful and really funny retrospective!
I watched Power Rangers as a kid. Then when I found out about Linkara I used it to catch up on seasons I never got to see or finish. And he's mature about it which I really like.
Yeah, he really did suceed in making a serious analysis of Power Rangers, didn´t he? Also, What´s your favorite season.
Mine is RPM.
That's what got me into the series in the first place, in fact. I've even used one or two of the elements he mentioned in my own series (most notably "if Rita knows the Rangers' secret identities, why doesn't she just blow up their houses?").
I was fairly into the series way before I anything about him. In fact, I was only introduced to TGWTG about two years ago, by a classmate of mine in college. But, these days, most of my interactions with the series come throught that video series, so there´s that.
TBH, when it come to super sentai inspired series, currently
in more of a fan of their distant relatives in the mahou shoujo anime genre, Pretty Cure.
If I want to check on something or help with the wiki I might watch an episode, but now I mostly use Linkara's stuff for reference. PR got me into Kamen Rider, and currently that's my preferred Toku-style series, though original teams are fun to write and RP.
Linkara has very well researched material for the show. Say,
if I wanted to watch other Toku series, like Super Sentai or
Kamen Rider, what would you recommend?
For Super Sentai, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger's a good gateway (ah, alliteration). Hikari Sentai Maskman's also fairly well-written, if you can get past the Star Trek: TOS-level effects and 70's-80's fashions.
For Kamen Rider, Kamen Rider W (a.k.a. Double) is my favorite so far, since it's a detective series as well.
Kaizoku Sentai is a fairly new series, isn't? Yeah, I think I can into that. As for Hikaru Sentai, I don't think the fashion will. Dobother me that much. Also do you mean the effects are bad or dated?
As for Kamen Rider W, it does seem cool. To be fair, I have only read or watched a few mystery series. I think the most mystery-related fiction I have interacted recently were Persona 4 and Danganronpa. But when I do end up reading/watching/playing something like that I do seem to at least like it, so maybe I should give it a shot again.
Having seen Gokaiger I now have to fight the urge to whine about how Power Rangers Super Megaforce is "ruining" it. That show knows how to pay tribute to past seasons, something Super Megaforce doesn't seem to have figured out just yet.
The effects vary; some still hold up all right, some are rather silly-looking (you can see the strings).
I don't actually read/watch many mysteries either, since my tastes are more speculative fiction-oriented, but I like it when a series can keep me guessing, or pull off a clever twist.
Yeah, I like when a series can reasonably surprise me too. Its one of the reasons I like the games I mentioned. Anyway, I will try to catch those sometime.

Rocket jumping with a rocket launcher is a lot different from using a jetpack. Basically, you're shooting at the ground and letting the explosions carry you. Just saiyan.

Oooh, Dresden Files and Firefly. Are you caught up to Dresden Files? (I'm halfway through Cold Days at the moment.)

Though Dead Beat and Changes, among others, could also qualify for that title. And Skin Game was fun, too. I just really like Demonreach, for some reason.

Yeah, Demonreach is a great island.
I dunno, I like the ones with more Murphy in them best, I think. White Knight was interesting, and of course Dead Beat, because nothing ever beats the freaking T-Rex.
Murphy being amazing is an immutable fact I am stating for the record. Nothing outdoing the T-Rex is also an immutable fact I am stating for the record. Demonreach is just my favourite, for some incomprehensible reason. :)

I only jumped into the series back in May, and the first book I could find at any of the used bookstores we visited was Changes. I'm currently working on Grave Peril so it may be a while before I can actually deal with badfics in the series, but I am hooked.

I was lucky that the first nine were at the library all in a row. (Though, for some reason, they had White Knight in large print only? That book was a brick!)
I've been trying to go back and read through from the beginning, and while they have a lot, I can't seem to get ahold of the first one. I may try the audiobook, because it's cheap and quick and James Marsters, y'all.

I'm pretty sure sure I have an unlined one somewhere, and I think I saw one with a crimsun cover the other day, and then there was that one with the Dark Black pages, but it was pretty much useless unless you had gel pens... I just have a huge overstock of the "lined, urple covers and wilver binding" type, so that's what everyone gets.

Fear not, I made sure to read the Constitution before I jumped in (But "Thou shalt maketh yourselves legible"? Is that intentional?), and I've been bouncing around the wiki.
You must have read the Constitution quite some time ago. I've pointed out the error in a previous thread, and I re-checked the Constitution before making this post; it reads "Thou shalt make thyself legible."
... is 'Ye Olde Original Language Of Ye Constitution Which Was Originally Far More Comedic Than It Stands Today'.

I guess that's why some of the other older stuff, like the Sue Smiting Ceremony, also uses that language. I was lucky enough to grow up on Shakespeare so I have a pretty good grasp of what Ye Olde-Fashioned Words mean, and thus a sentence that translates to "You shall makes yourselves legible" bugged me.
