Bugger me, did I like the intro to this mission. They're in so much pain!
I wonder what the inspirations were for this badfic?
We've all got them, from different sources, and I'm very curious to see what could have mentally kick-started this sort of thing.
The Aviator and Zeb call in some help from Dawn when food poisoning and mass magical pregnancy become too much for them.
Since my non-Agents are currently not available and you have the book at hand, Agent Aviator, will you please hit Agent Dawn over the head, gently, and kindly remind her that Harry's name was put into the Goblet of Fire at the end of October, when the foreign students had arrived.
The badfic does not explicitly state that the accident is meant to happen in the first potions lesson, when the news of the Triwizard Tournament is still fresh, but it does say "Chapter Three: 11 Weeks (November 1994)" and "Chapter Four: Fifteen Weeks (The First Task)". Make this early and late November, respectively, and an accident making everybody magically pregnant already three weeks in happening in early September fits the books timeline. Even if you move Chapter Three to late November and the First Task to mere days rather than weeks before the Yule Ball, Harry must still have been several weeks pregnant at Halloween.

Though I'm rather surpised that the spontaneous pregnancies were MALE ones in some cases wasn't commented on.
Then again, the magical pregnancy thing is already nonsensical to begin with, so...
Like, it's part of the type of fanfiction that's an exploration of how a character would act in different situations, and the author wants to explore how a male character would respond to the experience of being pregnant, but wants to keep it separate from thinking about how that character's life would have been different had they been born female. I mean, in reality I've yet to find one good enough to justify that justification. And GRAH this was a stupid fic.

And yeah, the whole mass magic pregnancy is bad enough on its own that a little mpreg isn't going to turn too many heads. XD

...decided "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if a bunch of students got pregnant all at once?" and then proceeded to copy each other for the "plot". -_-
Are there two other stories that are exactly like this, then?
What made you choose this over those?
I mean, what were their redeeming bits in comparison?

A little question though. Do you have a new mission for Ix and Lottie in the making? I remember you intended to alternate between the two teams.

Sweet Philemon, these few drops were enough for a result? The freak-out Ave will have when she understand this will surely be epic.
There are two other fics with exact same premise where a potions accident causes an entire class to get pregnant. And yes, they make just as much sense as this one.
I'm still looking for something I'd like Ix and Charlotte to tackle; possibly a crossover, but nothing I've set my sights on yet. I haven't really found anything that's "clicked" but once I have I'll start writing. :)
