Back!
... but not with actual PPC content. ^_^;
For the past four years, I've known exactly what the next Generic Surface 'story' will be. For the past three years, I've had it 95% completed. I've just... never actually posted it.
Time to change that.
Generic Surface: Battle Royale
(Would you like fries with that?)
Battle Royale #0: The Bracket
Yes, it's a tournament, a series of duels between Lego minifigs - most of them from those wonderful blind bags they're still doing, some additions from my own pieces. There can be only one victor. Place your bets now!
The bracket is above. I'll be posting these in four-strip chunks as Wednesday Pluggages, so here: have the first three battles.
Battle Royale #1: Jane Goodall v. Steve Rugged, Space Captain
Battle Royale #2: Mr Tumnus v. TIE Pilot M-25
Battle Royale #3: Sheila v. Deirdre
Let battle commence!

Other than Jane Goodall and generic TIE pilot, I don't recognize anyone. Are they all from some property, or are some of them made-up personalities?

Hmm, who've we got? by

Jane, Tumnus, and Sheila are Collectible Minifigs. The names are my own assignment (as indeed is true all the way through).
The TIE pilot is from... some Star Wars set, I dunno, they all look the same to me. [Ducks]
Deirdre and Steve Rugged, Space Captain are from a trip to the Lego Store - they had a 'build your own minifigs' thing, so I did. ^_^ I think there's another one of those in here somewhere, too.
Checking the bracket, the only fandom characters in there are Sherlock and the Watson Twins. Then there's a few historical (Ramasses and Cleopatra, and I guess Leonidas and Spartacus count), a handful of 'real people' (who are nothing like their counterparts), and... yeah, a lot of 'what does hS's head say'.
(Of course he has functioning vocal chords. He's Steve Rugged - Space Captain!)

That Richard Hammond? The Top Gear one?
... He's goign to pass a fight by rolling a car on the opponent or something, I'm calling it.
