Here we go, ladies and Bruces! Roughly 8 hours ago, Warner Bros. released a teaser trailer for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (part 1). Before I start my thoughts on the trailer, I need you to watch it with me, okay?

HERE IT IS

Now, for the analytical part:

[00:10] "You're an interesting man, Mr. Scamander."
Somebody's addressing Newt. This can't tell us much, but my thoughts are shown later on.

[00:17] A tiny creature is chilling inside Newt's waistcoat. My best guess is that this is a Bowtruckle.

[00:22] "Kicked out of Hogwarts..."
Whoever is talking, knows enough about Newt to know what happened to him at school AND that Dumbledore was the one who was against Newt's expulsion (similar to Hagrid's). Now, my assumptions are that this is somebody from MACUSA, perhaps a sort of spy (?), or somebody important enough to get info straight from the Ministry of Magic (I assume important things such as expulsions would reach the Ministry because of the Board of Governors).

[00:26] We get a shot of Tina Goldstein and Newt dressed all fancy.

[00:30] This may or may not be the inside of MACUSA, although it gives me also a bank-like vibes. Perhaps an American equivalent of Gringotts?

[00:36] Probably either a flashback, or beginning of the movie, showing us Newt arriving at one of the immigrant inspection stations; perhaps Ellis Island?

[00:50] Muggle safety lock, changing the contents of the suitcase. Pretty interesting idea.

[00:57] Inside of Newt's suitace (the safe side). We see a worn-out Hufflepuff scarf.

[01:07] Now THIS definitely is the inside of MACUSA, as we see a gigantic portrait of The Supreme Dictator Madam President Seraphina Picquery. Yeah, I'd say our "MACUSA is dictatorship" theory gets pretty solidified.

[01:09] Tina is dragging Newt somewhere with haste. My guess? All the beasts from Newt's suitacse had escaped already, and the authorities demanded to get Scamander in front of The Beloved Supreme Leader Madam President.

[01:10] We see the American equivalent to Daily Prophet... I think it says "The New York Ghost"? If anyone with better eyes can figure that out, I'd be grateful. Now, what does the newspaper tell us?

- We have the equivalent of the Oblivators - Federal Bureau of Covert Vigilance and No-Maj Obliviation - the FBCVNO!
- We see an International Wanted Poster for Alberto "The Rat" Macellarius. His bounty is worth 3 500 dragots, or 1 000 Galleons. Now we know that 1 Galleon = 3.5 dragots.
- Looks like the American wizards prefer to play Wizard's Checkers.
- In RL we have "Wrock", and the American wizards in the '20s apparently enjoy "WizzJazz"

[01:12] Here we have the Goldstein Sisters, Tina and Queenie, revealing something to Newt and Jacob Kowalski, the first major Muggle No-Maj character. I don't think it's the American equivalent of Diagon Alley, since we can see a bouncer at the other side of the door. Plus, Tina wears the same dress as in 00:26 so I'm gonna assume that this is a wizarding speakeasy.

[01:18] The people getting all the attention are Henry Shaw (with the tophat) and his son, Henry Shaw, Jr. Think of them basically as the Malfoys but No-Maj Malfoys. On one side of the crowd there are Shaw Senior's political posters (he's a Senator) and on the other side we've got a banner of NSPS - New Salem Philantropic Society - or, the 1920's Witch Hunters.

[01:20] We get a brief glimpse of Shaw, Sr.'s banquet, and Jacon's first encounter with Magic.

[01:24] Something's going down during Shaw, Sr.'s banquet.

[01:25] This is Modesty. The summary present her as a "haunted young girl" with "an ability to see deep into people". I'm getting some serious Luna Lovegood vibes from her.

[01:27] Tina and Newt escaping from somewhere (maybe MACUSA), and Newt releases one of his creatures? I have no idea what this may be. My first suggestion was an Augurey, but now I have no clue.

[01:30] One of Newt's beasts definitely attacked Shaw, Sr.'s banquet.

[01:31] We see people rushing out of a speakeasy, while other Apparate inside; most likely this is a police raid done by Aurors. Now the stone arches made me think that Newt and Tina may be escaping the Aurors from that speakeasy Nah, she's not wearing that sparkly black dress.

[01:32] This is Percival Graves, an Auror and a right-hand man to Her Dictatorship President Picquery. I think he is the one talking to Newt at the beginning of the trailer.

[01:33] And adorable shot of possibly a Niffler doing a butt slide while holding onto somebody's purse.

[01:36] Newt and Tina running again from either the Aurors or wizard gangsters.

[01:40] Voice confirmation that it is Graves talking to Newt at the beginning. Also, "that thing" implies that in Newt's suitcase there was one pretty big and nasty beast that escaped (probably the one that crashed Shaw, Sr.'s banquet). Apparently, there's going to be a Sasquatch present in the movie, so my best bet is that that's our most dangerous escapee.

In the final shot we see Newt going into his TARDIS-like suitcase, and beckons Jacob to follow him... Newt is a Time Lord confirmed.

And yeah, that's my view. I'm sure I must've missed something so go ahead and add your thoughts.
