I pray that her family finds peace during this troubled time, and I suggest that you take the time to grieve as well. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm willing to listen. You should have my e-mail address already.
After weeks in a coma, our recent newbie Kara Koening, AKA Black_Cat, had her life support taken off. She's dead.
Life goes on, I suppose. I hope everyone who knew her is adjusting and has the support they need. . . Email is clickable if you're, I don't know, revisiting this thread after a hard day and you want to talk to someone, or something.

How's the Vexos Chronicles series coming along? I haven't gotten any emails from you with either a new chapter or a project update, so I'm assuming you're still working on it but hit a snag or two. (Which I would completely understand and not be mad at you for, BTW.)
You've got it partly right: I've hit a few "snags". However, I have been intending on getting back to it; I'm sorry that it took me so long that you've taken notice. I'll try to get a new chapter in your hands by the end of April.
And Storme Hawk, if you're reading, are you interested in coming back to betaing the story?
But the closer we get to May/June time the busier with Uni work I'll be. Can't access my old gmail account so use the one (hopefully) linked to contact me etc.

It's so easy to take for granted that the people who come and go in this community are somehow immune to living and dying like everyone else, and that there is all the time in the world to get to know them. This is a sobering reminder of how untrue that is.
My heart goes out to her loved ones. I know nothing could have prepared them for this. I hope they'll somehow come to recover and move on.
I don't know that there's anything to say. I didn't know her. And now I never will.
But there are people here who did, and my mind goes out to you.
I forget what I meant to say, but it was not that. Apologies.
May she rest in peace...
And may whatever gods or spirits there may be watch over her.
I joined recently after her, and never got the chance to meet her. However, I hope that her afterlife is joyful, and send my condolences.

And yet, as sad as it is, I'm glad to know about it. I worry sometimes that people I don't see online anymore have died, and I'll never know, never have the opportunity to grieve properly. So thank you, Matt, for sharing this news with us.

The day of her accident, I had actually won the first mini4wd race after I got back into racing. So I wish to dedicate this cup in her memoir:

I never knew her but my heart goes out to everybody who did.
Although no words can bring her back to us, nor give enough support to those who grieve her passing, it feels right to say this.
May she find herself at rest and at peace wherever she is now, may her God look after and comfort those who were close to her and give them a light to carry on in this dark time.
