You are looking for the All-Purpose Department. Agents specialize in a single continuum and do all types of missions in that one world.

So I have been lurking about the Pit (which I regularly do) and I found myself a illogical little monster of a badfic:
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11735387/1/Behind-these-emerald-eyes
However, it's only about four or five chapters long and the chapters don't take too long to read. Is it long enough for the Unclaimed Badfic list?
1.) Is it possible for a pair of agents to only work in one continuum, but multiple departments?
2.) How do Agents from the Real World find the PPC? This has stumped me for ages.
3.) This one is sort of clarification. We are allowed to role play our agents/agent concepts before we have Permission (if there's an rp going on), correct?
Many thanks! I hope I'm not inconveniencing anyone.

1) As Phobos said — that's APD's MO.
2) As far as I've seen, we either get plothole or "answered an ad" (Rick, Techno-Dann, Agent!Desdendelle, etc).
3) As long as it isn't stated otherwise, you can join an RP without having Permission.

1) Hmm... DMS has divisions for all continuums desired, but I don't believe multi-departments are a thing. Your best option would be Floaters.
2) Multiple, multiple ways... which oddly enough usually involves falling through a plothole. But others (like Rick) simply answered a shady advertisement.
3) Hm... somebody else answers the RP question, please.
You can check the Killed Badfic sections, and see that many badfics missioned are even shorter. as long you find enough charges, everything will go smoothly.
Making a Character Replacement of at least two characters, lack of proper dialogue punctuation, calling Finnick "Finnie", making Prim a complete jerk, etc, etc. I haven't even looked that much at it.
Only questions left are, how the glitterbags will die, and when can we see your agents?
Well, something needs to be done, and I've never seen a Hunger Games badfic sporked... I will say this though. My "agents", er, agent concepts, are currently rather thought-through, if that makes any sense. However they are not canon and won't be for a reasonable amount of time. I might get Permission eventually, but at this point in time I feel pretty comfortable just lurking around.
He already sporked a HG badfic, with Rayner an Evangeline.
And I see what's you're talking about, I thought about my own agents for a long time before writing them. Hope if you try to get Permission, everything will be fine.
Funny how I didn't notice it on the mission report.
I checked, and it was nowhere on the wiki, except on Rayner and Evangeline's pages. I'm settling this now.
Even one-shots are sporkable if they're bad enough.
The shortest badfic ever sporked (this — NSFW & NSFB!) clocks at 138 words, which are a couple of sentences. Usually, stuff that's too short gets passed over because there's not enough material to actually spork. That amount, however, changes from person to person.
Looking at the fic linked above, it is a bit less than 6,000 words; that's plenty for a shortish mission &dmash; that's hS' cutoff for Driftwood, and Driftwood makes for an excellent example of a PPC... spinoff? series? in my opinion.
So yeah, that fic is long enough.
Although I'm glad it didn't continue.
