I hope that counteracted it.
Needless to say, it wasn't the best day.
It was a 4-page packet on basic Genetics and Heredity, with a Spongebob theme. It was pretty bad. I shouldn't need to explain where the OCs come in.
Particular highlights include SpongeBillyBob, Spongebob's cousin.
I really needed to vent this.
Mine had an OC that Patrick married named Patricia and a type of flower called Poofkins that Spongebob grew for Sandy.
Honestly, though, this is just stupid.
Let's bring the kid's show into the thing that implies sex.
Nice.
Smart.
For our next job, let's bring our car into a wall.
Let's bring plastic into a microwave.
Let's bring ourselves into a wildfire.
Let me counteract it.
:)
I hope that de-salted my comment.
Luckily, I enjoy Punnett squares.
My Civil Procedure Class's final was the Red Wedding at a 21st Century Construction sight.
We had the exact same homework assignment when I was in ninth grade. holy crap that feels so long ago now My teacher seemed to think that bringing Spongebob into the genetics lesson would appease us. :/
This reminds me of the infamous MLP resume that cropped up on the Internet a while ago. Only, well, resumes can be ignored, but you were actually supposed to do this assignment and wade through all the (presumably awful) OCs within. Blech.
It doesn't help that I've never particularly liked Spongebob, especially not after the sheer amount of marketing related to that show. IT'S EVERYWHERE. Gods, I feel that Frozen, Minions, and freaking Shrek look tame in comparison.
It wasn't particularly horrible, after I became desensitized from it. It was draining at first, tough. For example:
"4. SpongeBob SquarePants recently met SpongeSusie RoundPants at a dance..."
This was approximately where the whole thing went downhill. I'm pretty sure I voided the warranty on my brain.
Funny thing, after reading this comment, I thought I was overblowing the horribleness of it, but after re-reading the assignment I can conclude I was right the first time.
I was part of the early mlp:fim fandom during it's early days and that stupid resume gives me flashbacks to the height of the brony empire.
