Hey,
I'm a part time cartoonist and I love reading PPC missions and sporks. It took me a while, but I finally figured out how to bring them together. I can make the Original Series into a set of strips!

... of course, this is only if I'm allowed. I know Generic Surface exsist and didn't really didn't want to copy it...

I've been thinking about trying this for PPC Emergencies, but then, you're a part-time cartoonist, so you'd be much better at this sort of thing.

Besides, it might actually be an interesting way to get some of the newbies who're interested in writing missions at some point to get into the Original Series. What better way than to put it in picture form, amirite?

I will second what Neshomeh said though - that's a lot of work you're lining yourself up for.

Also, it might be a good idea to run your ideas (if not your sketches) past someone who's been here a while - just to catch any crazy mistakes. I'm sure we've had people before who think the Sunflower Official is human...

Really ambitious—seems like it would be a lot of work—but I'd personally love to see a graphic-novel version of the Original Series. I hope you like drawing Uruk-hai. J & A spend most of their time in that disguise, at least in the early missions.

To get to the point, though, I don't actually know if this is something that requires Permission, per se, though asking on the Board first was definitely the right move. I'd personally class a project like this as fan art, which shouldn't be a problem, but I think you should wait for some more responses to see how people feel in general.

Also, could we see a sample of your work? Do you have a deviantART account or something?

I'm glad to see that I'm getting some support. I've read through the first couple of stories a second time and am working my way through the rest.
I'll set up a website later, not for just the cartooning, but for any missions I might do later. I'll place the link on here just as soon as I upload the sketches.
I've started sketching a few of the characters, but I need more info.
FIrst, I can't find any descriptions about the Assassins anywhere. Can anyone point me, or give me descriptions?
And how long do you want the strips to be? I was thinking maybe 5 pages each, considering...
And any other things?

I'm sure I misunderstood this, but it definitely sounds like you think you can fit a Jay and Acacia mission into five pages of comic strip. That might (just about) be possible for Rambling Band, but I don't think it'd be doable for anything else.

As for descriptions: there are a handful of references scattered through their missions, but conveniently, Bold Font also drew a famous picture of Jay and Acacia:

Acacia is the shorter one with the brown hair and glasses. There are also images on their Wiki pages, which I seem to recall I made based on the Bold Font image.

There was a tall, gangly one with messy reddish hair and a shorter brunette wearing a pair of glasses. They both looked like assassins-turned-friendly, the effect rather disturbing.

“Hi,” the taller one volunteered. “I’m Jay.”

You probably can't go wrong using Bold Font's picture as a guide.

And yeah, five pages doesn't sound like very much to me, either. There's what, nine-ish panels per standard comic page, give or take depending on size? There's a lot of banter to work in... And the missions do get longer on average over time, so whatever you manage for the first one, you're going to need more for most of the rest. The only exception I can think of offhand is the one with Agent Dead, "Torment." We get a nice appearance from Dr. Fitzgerald in that one...

But, anyway. My two cents, there they are.
