All that's left is to paint the gold layers on the collar. Other than that...
I've got a good feeling about this one.

I've got a good feeling about this one.
My mother and I' have been working on this thing pretty much nonstop for the last few weeks, and since we're on a time crunch (con starts April 1st, aaaahhhh *flails*) I haven't had the time to stop and take pictures of the processes. Oh well.
The outer robe, hung up and awaiting sleeve pleats and hemming
A sleeve of the inner robe, not yet attached to the body
And the much bigger Big Stupid Collar with a base layer of primer
A bit of an idea of what it will look like when it's all put together. :D (taken before the priming photo)
Construction on a staff will begin tomorrow once I've gathered the materials.

Wil you also show us the prototype you 'retroftted' as Ave's collar?
Though I don't know when that will ever be finished since it's low on my priority list at the moment. :P I'm starting work on a Zelda (Twilight Princess version) after the Time Lord costume is done.
How many costumes to you have, anyway?
Or do you just... salvage them afterwards?
This ought to be monetised. You could make a syndicate.
Conquer the world and rule from your throne of pop-culture inspired attire.
The Time Lord one is the first where all the pieces will be self-manufactured.
So far, the list is:
Harry Potter
Fluttersy
Will Treaty
Generic Steampunk
Lady Iximaz
and now Generic Time Lord.
I'm not nearly a good enough costumer to make it into a living, though. :P
You should combine all your costumes into one super costume.
Imagine that, if you will.
Hello, Shipfest!
... Fluttersy with glasses, black hair, and a very disgruntled expression? *eg*
~Lemony Eggnog Neshomeh
That's really, really impressive.
(Best part? The Hogwarts t-shirt under it. Definite plot-Nuzgul material, that.)
[The Dalek saucer makes one final circuit over the blasted dome, then settles down. The hatch opens with a hiss, and a trio of black Daleks descend.]
[A lone figure stands in their way. Her formal robes are torn and soot stained, and her collar is missing one of its horns. She is holding a slim wooden stick, about as long as her forearm.]
Dalek Commander: SURRENDER! THIS PLANET IS NOW UNDER DALEK AUTH-
The Time Lady: Avada Kedavra!
[Green fire pours out of the wand and engulfs the Daleks. The leader has time for a single electronic scream before all three fall still.]
The Time Lady: Welcome to Gallifrey.
hS ^_^
Crazy and fun. Really sweet.
Guess I'll have to double-check the bits of information you released about them. Sorry.
And thank you! :3 I'll post more pictures once the whole thing is finished.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course.
I ain't slagging.
That only reminded me of this:
That Legend of Korra?
I bloody love the Last Airbender, but I've never gotten around to seeing it.
I've heard it's steampunk and has robots. I feel like I'm missing out.
It was from the episode where Zuko, Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee are on Ember Island and crash a beach party.
I couldn't really get into LoK because it just felt different from ATLA. Saw the first season, decided it wasn't for me, and moved on, though I've heard the rest is good. To each their own, I guess.
I've proven myself to know nothing about Pokemon, I've proven myself to know nothing about The Last Airbender, I'm excited to see where I'll go next.
