There was no chemistry. The jokes weren't funny. The Black Character acted like a reject from a 90's sitcom.
Those were just my thoughts, tho. What were yours? -

I've seen both trailers and I'm frankly not impressed with either of them. Out of both trailers there was one scene that even caused a smile to creep across my face. Now part of it is that I cannot stand two of the actresses in it. I do not like Kristen Wiig or Melissa McCarthy. I just do not think they are very funny or entertaining. I'll still see it, but I do not have very high hopes for this. I did not going in, and the trailers have done nothing to change that.

Is this the domestic trailer or the international one? by

Because the international one is goddamned hilarious. It feels like Ghostbusters did when I first watched it and Chris Hemsworth is an absolute riot.

I'll agree that the international trailer was better by

But it still did not really do it for me. I will say that Chris Hemsworth does look like he can salvage the film for me. His few moments in the trailer were the ones I could at least crack a smile at. I'll still see it, but I'm not expecting it to be anywhere near as entertaining as the other entries in the series were.

It does feel like they've tried too hard to fit the new characters into the roles of the original four (supernatural enthusiast, thin-faced scientist, black person . . . normalish person?). But the humor doesn't seem too terribly off from the originals; Ghostbusters is one of those franchises that gets nostalgia filtered so hard, it's easy to overlook that some parts were pretty dumb.
Also, the ghosts are pretty fantastic-looking. I would guess they're mostly CGI, but they seem pretty faithful to the style and appearance of the old movies' ghosts.
—doctorlit's main complaint is the presence of Inception BWAHs in this trailer. With no sign of natural predators, humanity may need to start hunting Inception BWAHs to keep their population numbers in check. -
I agree completely. by

The part where I knew it was dead (hehe-hoho, get it?) was when the girl was vomited on by the ghost.
GET IT? BODILY FLUIDS!
HAHA-HOHO.
The only way it could get any worse, and more generic, is if there is a 'monkey-piss' scene.
