I was thinking of trying it out, but how is it compared to, say Wordpress for being a base for the missions and such? Understand I don't have a membership on Wordpress either.
In short, I feel like I need a public base for missions and such, and I'm wondering if LJ or WP or the site that the Original Series is stored on would be worth it.
-LJ is good because there's already a PPC LJ community which you can join to make your account easier to find. It has threaded (ie, Board-like) comments to make reviews easy to reply to. Other than that it's a fairly standard blog setup these days.
-Wordpress I know nothing about.
-Blogspot/Blogger is what I use for Terri's reviews. It's basically LJ without the social side.
-TOS is hosted by Neshomeh these days. She uses Tripod, which I think will need you to know HTML (and it's also stuffed full of adverts).
-I used Webs.com, which lets me use HTML... but won't let anyone else, because they don't let you open HTML-using accounts any more. It's good if you want to set up a complete website quite quickly.
Ehm... y'know, I actually would recommend LJ if you don't want to set up a (free) website of your own. You can give an introduction on your profile page, and use the tagging system to link together related posts (missions, interludes, whatnot).
Also, LJ is the best website evah, so.

Partially because I can't navigate LJ anymore due to the changes they made to support a single comm, and also because since they became Russian-based, it's become, well, rather unsavory as a business due to the actions they take against political Russian LJers who use/used the site.
Dreamwidth is pretty much the same as LJ, except fandom focused and ad-free.

And there are some people there; I've been trying to make the occasional entry on my personal DW while I'm out here, but it's hard to find enough time to collect my thoughts and process the stuff I shouldn't be saying online out. I'm planning to do a nice series of stuffs when I return, though.
It'd definitely be nice to have a journaling community of PPCers again! LJ just became unusable to me, especially with all the limts they introduced. :/
