To the anime fans here, do you ever listen to english fandubs of some openings or endings from animes, and if yes, what are the ones you prefer?
I'll open the subject with three of my own, done by AmaLee:
Rising Hope, Opening 1 for The Irregular at Magic High School
Ignite, Opening 1 for Sword Art Online II
Magia, Ending 1 for Madoka Magica
Of course, if you think that fandub is heresy, you can also point out original openings/endings -

And it is almost scary how the lyrics fit for Rebellion despite the fact that that trainrewck didn't exist when the fandub was made.
I personally like Miku-tan's dubs of both opening and endings of PMMM, too. -

But Connect is pretty intense too in the Fridge Brillance department, though. By the way, did you see that fandub version? I found the idea of having two singers for Madoka and Homura interesting.
Oh, and do you think too that Rising Hope's lyrics wouldn't be out of place in a Madoka song? -

But I had actually thought that a duet version would work when I listened to Miku-Tan's rendition, so I'm happy it does actually exist.
I initially found the voice of the Madoka singer a bit annoying, but then again... if Mata Ashita, Madoka's character song, is anything to go by, she does indeed have that kind of voice when singing. (And, apparently, the English voice of Madoka is that way too, according to some comments on that video)
And yes, Rising Hope fits Homura oh so well. I'm liking that one very much. -

It feels a little a strange when another anime's song fits so well another anime, right?
P.S.: Did you try to read the Madoka x Nanoha crossover I posted on the Board? Must admit I'm interested by your opinion about it since this story is somewhat parallel to yours. -

I'm an anime fan, but I'm a sub person. What's more, English fandubs are just another foreign language to me (albeit one that I actually speak).
As to what you link: I've listened to Magia and Ignite, and well. I find AmaLee's voice annoying; further, Ignite is cringe-inducing. Just, no.
Instead, have Dragon Ball Z's Hebrew opening, which is a rather accurate translation of the Japanese Cha-la Head Cha-la. -

I listen fandubs because I'm curious about the way te author plays with the original lyrics, trying to keep a song with same rythm and similar message... And because English is easier to sing than Japanese. These openings were interresting though.
(By the way did you have the occasion of reading the crossover I showed you?) -

But I do enjoy myself some fandubs. Natewantstobattle and AmaLee seem to be one of my more liked fandub singers.
More specifically, Natewantstobattle's Overlord opening.
And AmaLee's Noragami Aragato opening. -

I have to go with a German fandub of 'Guren no Yumiya' from Attack on Titan... or, as some would call it:
SIE SIND DAS ESSEN UND WIR SIND DIE JAEGER!!! \m/
Although I'm not really into the series, I do enjoy this fandub. -

And given the fact Attack on Titan takes so clearly inspiration from Gernmany, not even sure id it's not fandub, but an in-universe song. ;)
