A birthday gift by

I know it is unusual to give gifts to other people on one's own birthday, but this seemed a good time. You see, I received a book of deathtraps earlier, and there's a chapter about using the future as a deathtrap.
Weird, right? How is the future a deathtrap? And then it occurred to me: "Catastrophe Theory", my personal future-verse in the PPC, is totally a deathtrap! And that got me thinking...
Why should it be my own personal future-verse? Why not open it up for other people to write in? And that, my friends, brings me to the gift:
Catastrophe Theory is open for business! Death for some; fun for all!
Want to write about your agents fighting the good fight against impossible odds? Want to explore what it would mean to one or more of your characters to experience the (non-canon) loss of one or more loved one? Want your characters to go down in a blaze of glory? Then this is the opportunity for you...on a couple of conditions.
This will be a curated series. That means I will be involved in a couple of ways in your writing process. Here's how:
1) In order to keep all writers, stories, and hidden details working together coherently, you and I will discuss your ideas before you start writing.
2) I'm gonna need to be one of your betas. This will allow me to say things like "you mention Agent X died in the Cafeteria, but I had them in the library with the candlestick." Again, so that all stories work together.
3) I may give you secret information to add in to your stories so you can be in on the mystery of what all went down.
So, if you solemnly swear that you're up to no good, shoot me an email (available via my name at the top) and we'll talk.

Not that you posted this (great idea!), but that I can't join in. :-/ Reason being, the characters I'd enjoy doing it with all turn out not to work.
-Dafydd and Constance are retired and well out of it.
-Agent Kaitlyn would just die quickly. She's competent, but not that competent.
-Selene could be interesting... except I have no desire to write an unhinged vampire in a war-zone. Shame.
-Morgan, again, could be very interesting - except her story would probably involve at least some of the other Time Lords, and I don't have the mind-power to even try to get into that.
But I will definitely be watching to see what comes out of it.

If you ever think of a story that you want to write, the invitation is still open.

I really need to do one more pass-through of self-editing before it's good enough for you to look at, though. I don't really have a time frame at the moment. <.>
—doctorlit keeps taking on new things and never finishes old things. Time travel is probably involved. -

I'm glad you're still working on it. Get it to me when it's ready. You're well ahead of the game, anyway.

I'd need to think about what I'd like to do involving my agents, but this sounds like fun! Might have to send you an email in the future.
Also, pretty sure hobbits give presents on their birthdays, so I'd say this isn't unusual. :P -

Assuming my agents survive until then. What year will this possible future take place in?

Because I'm tempted doing something for this too, but I have to get a decentish idea of the timeline to write one character of mine properly.

The Invasion happens more or less in the present. Oopart's story takes place roughly 10 years from the Invasion.

We know that Henry Robinson is a teenager when the Department falls, and he's on a fixed timeline, so the absolute latest year it can happen is 2028 (if I've done the math right).
I don't think he's older than 17 as written, though, so it's probably more like 2026 at latest.
... So in other words, the Invasion happens this year in the alternate timeline. Unless it was last year or the year before.

The invitation is open until I eventually retire to devote time to my real passion: World Domination.
You can always email me when/if you come up with an idea.
