My main reasons for not really talking to people are:
1/ I don't really log in to Facebook ever.
2/ I'm pretty bad about replying to emails. I can manage a few in a row, but I tend to trail off after a while.
That said, I'm getting better at emails of late, so that's certainly an option...

Just like to check in here once every five years or so. Make sure the plot continuum is still being protected and all that. As you were.

I, er, I've heard of you (mostly through reading things you were involved with). Don't think we've met, but wow, hi! How are you? What's it like to be checking back in after a while? Is this time any different from the last time you did it?
Questions aside, though--welcome back! I hope you enjoy your stay :) I don't give out SPaGhetti like Ix does, but I do give people Swiss Bleepolate and Gummyblees, the latter of which will take the shape of something from the last book, show, or movie you read or watched--so, here! And welcome :)

Why thank you! And I'm pretty good, how are you? :) Honestly, things around here seem pretty much the same, which warms my heart. It's good to see this place still so active after so many years.
I wasn't a Boarder when I first started reading PPC stories, but I started that around 2006 or so. Then, in 2013, I decided to go looking, and found about a hundred Boarders instead of the 2-5 I'd rather expected. It was amazing (and, obviously, I stayed). It's a pretty lovely thing to see.
Me, I'm doing well. I'm on reading week, which means I get to stay home, see a friend or two, and think about all the schoolwork I need to get done this week lest I regret it! Very fun so far. :)
When was the last time you checked in? I get the feeling it was before I joined, but you never know--I have missed some months, by virtue of being too busy to look at the Board.

Hmm, not sure when the last time I checked it was. Could've been a year ago... or two years... I have no sense of time, unfortunately. I check in sporadically but usually don't say much.
I first found the PPC in the fall of 2002. I think I read the stories on fanfiction.net and then found my way to this board. I'd estimate at that time there were maybe 12-15 active posters here. So... yeah. I was all of 14 when I started posting here, and now I'm almost 28. I've been friends with some of the people I met here for well over a decade now, which is somewhat terrifying to think about (because I'm old, not because they're terrifying, aha).
By the way, the board looks exactly the same now as it did back then. I remember we had some pretty intense debates about whether to move it to a different platform. Not sure if such debates are ongoing, but the consensus then was that change is evil. :P
We've had several discussions about moving to Tomash's Board, though mostly because YourWebApps' servers keep crashing and we can't get on to post. >.> So far though, the T-Board is just the current Other Board. Dunno if it'll ever become the main Board, though.
Also, hi. :) I was a bit too surprised to give you a proper welcome back. ^^; Nice to finally meet you!
