The "relevant discussion" was about minis like "hardric", where "Hardric" would be a canon character’s name. While some Boarders like to catch as much minis as possible, others frown upon this habit, because minis are spawned by misspelling a canon character’s name, but "not capitalizing where it is required, as in the first letter of a name" is just bad grammar, not a misspelling of the name.
Are you sure that the mistake in "HardRic" is "randomly capitalizing a letter in the middle of a word", where the word is meant to be canon character Hardric’s name? Whether this spawns a mini may be debatable.
Just as well, the mistake could be "omitting the necessary space between first and last name", where "Hard Ric" was never meant to be the canon character Hardric. This certainly wouldn’t spawn a mini; it would spawn an additional OC who may just sit around moping because the narration doesn’t mention him ever again.
Actually, "Hard Ric" sounds more like a nickname, and a person nicknamed Hard Ric (or Hard Rick?) would probably not be contented just sitting around moping. What would he do left to his own devices? What should the agents do with him? Use your imagination and have more fun than with just another mini. (Okay, the last part doesn’t help you, because the miscapitalization you’re actually dealing with certainly isn’t "HardRic".)
