And, since you've seen the opening scene, wow – Rory can rock the Tennant-style coat! :D

So, has anyone seen the newest in the Arrow-Flash universe? The best I can describe it is Doctor Who meets Guardians of the Galaxy meets the cartoon Time Squad. And seeing as 2016 is going to be a Doctor-less year, I though I'd give this one a chance... and I wasn't disappointed. Plus, it stars Arthur Darvill, or as we Whovians call him, Rory "The Roman" Williams Pond.
I was pleasantly surprised. Still not over what happened in episode 2, though. God damn. Just when I was starting to like the character. Sara Lance still has my heart so that's one thing that hasn't changed haha! One thing I found funny about Arthur as Rip was that he (Arthur) said that he didn't want to star in another Sci-Fi thing but look at him, rocking the whole Time Master thing.
It's hard to resist cracking jokes about how the Time Masters are totally not the Time Lords and Rory Rip Hunter is totally not the Doctor. *g* I mean, he's just a guy who stole a time ship from an elite council of time savants and is having wacky adventures with human companions to save Earth, right? They're nothing alike! {X D
But seriously, I am enjoying the show. The first episode in particular felt more like a movie than an episode, which is pretty cool. I find the Captain Cold-White Canary friendship especially entertaining.

...No pun intended. Plus, another DW joke that could be made was that Heat Wave's real name is Mick Rory.
And, I guess this is the point that I erect the Spoiler Wall for Ix and the others who are yet to watch the episodes.

Quote of the pilot, hands down, goes to Captain Cold: "We go out for one lousy drink and you guys somehow manage to pick a fight with Boba Fett!"
Besides that, I was really surprised by how well was the pilot made. Pilots usually are kinda iffy, and the acting gets better as the series progresses. Here, I am happy that all those characters had time to be developed in their respective shows.
Dad and I couldn't stop making Doctor Who references while watching that first scene.
I'm excited to see the rest of the episode. :D
We saw the first scene with Rory Darvill talking to the council and went "Yeah, this'll do until 2017." :P So we've had it recorded for a while; we'll watch it as soon as he's home from his trip.
