Though I forget precisely what, on account of being dumb as a box of hair. =]

Also, I looked at some gifs of that movie on Google Images, and there was one where an eye comes out of its mouth.
What.
Only difference between him and David Cronenburg is that Dave had the good sense to not make his demonic, visceral body-horror vision out of whatever random junk he had in his attic. Jan Svankmeyer's work in animation is profound and beautiful.
And frankly? I was disappointed it hasn't been referred to as "stop-motion animism".
He's a horror manga artist who's very famous for body horror. I won't say that his stories are Lovecraftian, but they do tend to have a similar sense of Weird, nihilistic doom.
The capital 'W' on weird was intentional, by the way. His stuff gets WEIRD.
Like that one story where people are attacked by balloon versions of themselves. Or the one where the girl's hair beheads her. Or the one where the fellow ages because of his dreams.
Trust me, you'll like him.
