Dafydd and Constance's conversation reminded me way too much of my parents while they're working in the garage.
"Alright, now to take some pictures of the plane for documentation..."
"You can't take a picture of the garage in this state! It's a mess!"
"What, you want us to put away everything before taking a single photo?"
"Not everything, just the tools, and the metal shavings, and the clecos lying all over the workbench—"
"So, everything?"
Also, nice to see the doors make a reappearance. :D
Can't really comment too much on the LotR-specific stuff since I'm not too familiar with it, though "It was blindingly obvious that the 'artist' has not only never been to Arda, but had also never seen a living plant." made me cacklesnort.
10/10, would read again.
I really enjoyed that. by

It's always nice to see more of Dafydd's take on things musical, and domestic scenes chez Illian are always a joy. I may not agree with him on Enya (she always seemed a bit whalesong-y to me) but then, that's what music is supposed to do; mean different things to different people. Fantastic work. =]
