Hey, all! I'm Litany. Several of you may remember me from several months ago. I found you guys through my TVtropes addiction, went through a star-eyed idolization phase, settled into a routine of regular posting, and then disappeared.

Most of the blame for my inactivity rests with me. I had a bunch of hemophilia-related medical issues sneak up on me, and I signed up for a curriculum of classes that was a LOT more rigorous than I expected.

However, I also felt that there wasn't much here to do here as a newbie. When I asked what a new poster could do to integrate him/herself on the board, I was invariably told to read the original series (which I had read several times over at this point) or to browse the wiki (more or less at random). I occasionally would contribute to PPC-related discussions/RPs, but I didn't feel experienced enough a member to participate comfortably.

To be clear, none of this is intended as attack on the Board. I understand that you're busy people, and each of you almost certainly has something better to do with your time than hold the hand of a prospective newbie who might not even last a week.

Instead, I'm here to ask how I can improve. My semester just wrapped up for Christmas break, and my hemophilia issues have more or less resolved themselves. I want to start writing here again, but I don't want to repeat the mistakes of my last attempt. So what can I do to get myself settled on the boards?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

-Litany
