I guess it was well done, but Moffat's writing just doesn't do anything for me. I could see what the episode was going for, but it was too much being clever just for the sake of being clever.
Avoiding spoilers, it's all very confusing and Watson is awesome.
Very strange ending, though.

It was an hour or so after watching before I got the events into some coherent order. And yes, Watson is awesome. Unfortunately, our cable was bad, so we missed several bits of it.
This was an outstanding episode-- I loved every minute of it. They did a great job of explaining the cliffhanger at the end of Series 3.
Costumes, atmosphere, Holmes being Holmes, Watson being awesome (and the Reveal makes it all the more awesome), and appearances by all of our favourite characters-- this one has it all.
11/10, would watch again.
