Darkotas was at Best Buy earlier today and sent me some rather... amusing photos.
If the text is too small for you to read, it says "Includes every Doctor Who Christmas Special plus an all new bonus feature and a Twelfth Doctor sonic Screwdriver!"
...let's take a closer look at that screwdriver, shall we?

It's all about association. For example:
Show this to people and most would associate it with the Tenth Doctor, even though the Ninth had it first.
Show somebody this:
And their first thought will be Eleven. Especially after Twelve switched to sunglasses for the majority of Series 9. -

and one could nitpick that 'Oh, but Nine's had more yellow outer casing; Ten's was more silver, blah-blah-blah', but then again, I don't see them adding sunglasses to the package, or spoiling Hell Bent by revealing the sonic prematurely (no idea how would they do it, though).
In the end, they could've just re-name it 'Eleventh Doctor's Sonic' and it would work just fine, cause sonics are really desired.
Also, what do you think of actual Twelfth's sonic? Personaly, I don't like it :/ I wish one of the future Doctors would bring back the Cane. -
