I'm actually surprised, that this is the first mission in this continuum, since it seems to be extremely popular, but hey, that means I get to decide the mini! (And the mini shows very clearly, why I shouldn't really be allowed to decide anything.)
Regarding two the minis, they are there because as far as I was able to look up on Google Maps, there is no Centennial Highway or Sylvania Bridge (although there's a Sylvania Road) in Jericho, California, which makes those Supernatural locations. If I'm wrong, please give me aproper smackdown and if there's a better resource for checking locations, I would like to know.
But less talk, more linking: http://rc170.wordpress.com/2012/12/20/daughter-of-a-winchester-aka-saving-canons-hunting-sues/
I just haven't seen quite enough of it to qualify for missions... I've only seen the first episode and most of season two.
*Snickers* If you've ever had a terrier, or known anyone who has a terrier, you'll know why they can qualify as small hell hounds. Also, yay for a canon way to show the stupid lemming picture thing!
Dawny wings. I hope they're full of Dawn soap, not shiny and sunlight-filled.
An IQ of 360? That just all around doesn't work. They have trouble measuring above 140. But yay, Agatha Heterodyne! (If the Foglios don't start making headway in that battle soon, I might just burst...)
Those wings, man... (I don't yet get why the RMC and Mittens would be inconvenienced by the devil's trap...)
It eats punctuation marks! I want to hug the RMC.
And then, at "poltergyste," I completely lost it. Just, no! I mean, I'm still laughing, but it's the urge-to-kill-rising laugh...
Oh, that was a very good way to kill off the sue. Makes me wish that someone would semi-recruit the Winchesters like they've done over in Fanfic World for John Watson and Sherlock Holmes.
I picked the Yorkshire Terrier as a nod to a later episode. I think it will make you laugh when you see it.
I actually have a plushie-RMC some of my friends gave me for Christmas last year, so I get to hug it on a regular basis. :D
As for the Winchesters, I rather like the symmetry in that they guard their world against monsters that ordinary people can't fight, and we do the same for them.
I think this is a good mission! The jokes were good, and I did like the execution. We need more of those that aren't 'insert bullet/knife/lightsaber into Sue.'
There were a few SPaG errors - I think an it's/its, a who's/whose. But it wasn't that distracting.
I expect that future missions in SPN will feature even more interesting executions. After all, almost anything can be used as a killing weapon in the series. Maybe the agents could hand a Sue over to Atropos and watch her go Rube Goldberg on them. *scribbles note*
I'll get on the SPaG errors as soon as I have the time.
Where are you transferring Mittens and the RMC? I'm curious. Also, I have a method for getting text from the Circle without having to rewrite everything; if you want the link I can give it to you.
All in all, very interesting!
Well, if you promise that your agents won't tell my agents before I write the interlude about it, I can tell you that they are going to the All-Purpose Department, Supernatural Division. I am kinda nervous about writing more Supernatural, since I'm not sure that this mission didn't feature all the best jokes I was able to come up with, but I have to try.
The scene with Dean and Sam was actually inspired by your missions in the Sherlock-canon, even though it turned out rather different. I thought it was such a great idea to have actual long interactions with the canons, rather than just: "Look here." [Flash]
And I would very much like that link. Writing the extracts myself was a pain.
here you go.
