FYI: Wiki infoboxes. by

Hi, guys. If you notice the wiki's infoboxes looking a little different, that's because I've updated them all to be portable to mobile devices, as per Wikia's standards (and repeated urgings that finally got on my nerves enough to act).
The main difference you'll see is that infobox images are now scaled to take up the full width of the infobox instead of being thumbnail-sized. In some cases, this may mean they look kind of huge. I do not know how to fix this, except to use images that are more wide than tall. It's irritating, and I'll continue trying to fix it, but so far my efforts have only resulted in distorted images. Sigh. In the meantime, if your pages are really screwed up by huge infobox images, consider uploading a new image at a smaller size, or with dimensions more wide than tall, and using that instead.

I have a solution. by

It would be relatively easy (If tedious) to add a white layer behind each image, and then re-upload it. Create a border/buffer. I am beyond exhausted right now, though, so I'm not completely sure if I read the problem correctly. Ignore me if I didn't.
As I said, this would be tedious to do, so in my professional opinion as a complete slacker, we should just grumble loudly about it, but not actually do anything. -

Also, two new infoboxes. by

Because it seemed like a good idea at the time, I've made infoboxes for OFU and Mini pages. Here are the templates and some example articles for each:
Template:Infobox OFUs
- Example 1: OFUM
- Example 2: HFA
- Example 3: IAHF
- Example 4: OBAFU
Template:Infobox Minis
- Example 1: Mini-Balrog
- Example 2: Mini-Aragog
- Example 3: Mochi Nation
- Example 4: Mini-Luggage
What do you think? Good idea/bad idea? Any data missing that should be there? Other ideas?

I couldn't think of enough data points to include, though. I think you've filled them in nicely!

I fixed the archive URL for the list of mini-Aragogs and added the relevant ones to the article, too. I am amused to note that Lupin and Snape appear to be the most popular characters among PPCers.
(Ouch, that sounds nasty. Ostriches are mean, aren't they?)

Honestly, most of the ones we have are more dumb than anything. Their single, driving instinct is to eat things, so they generally only have one, "is this edible" reaction to most stimuli.
We have nearly all females at my zoo; I've heard the males can be awful, but the one male we do have is pretty much no different from all the females. There is one female who is weirdly aggressive; fortunately, she's a much lighter shade of grey than everyone else. (Thank you, Gan, for color-coding the dangerous one!) One day, while I was volunteering with keepers who were cleaning their pond in the train ride yard, a bunch of ostriches all started walking into the empty pond in single file. We were almost done cleaning, so I started petting them as they walked by, and kept talking to the keepers. The ostriches continued by, oblivious to even being touched by me, until I got to the Grey One. She immediately flinched backwards and hissed, stared at me for a second in surprise, and then fluffed her wings out, hissed louder and charged. (They usually stamp their feet before they attack, but she did not do so.) I started to turn to run, and had time to see her foot kick about six inches to the side of my torso, where part of my body had been before I turned. (I yelled, "Help!" at some point, too, but don't really remember when.) I ran straight for the bridge that takes the train over the pond and jumped from one concrete support berm to the other—ostriches don't handle uneven ground very well— and nearly ran into a pair of Stanley cranes. The Stanleys are mean, too, but don't have the body mass to kill a human like ostriches do, so getting kicked by them would have been a very acceptable trade-off for escaping the Grey One, but the cranes were so shocked by a human showing such carelessness towards them, they just kind of stared at me, stunned. So then I jumped back to the first berm, where the ostrich had already wandered away due to lack of interest/food. When the zookeepers tell that story about me, they say I "outran an ostrich." Not seeing the ostrich herself after the kick, I can't really corroborate that, and it couldn't have been more than ten feet, but . . . I guess it is kind of impressive I avoided getting hurt?
But as I was saying, mostly ostriches nip at things to see if it's food. And sometimes, they nip at no things—they just stand there biting at air for minutes straight every once in a while. The problem with my hands is that in winter, my skin gets all dry and cracks apart, and I think the one ostrich thought the red spots on my hand were edible. And then she ended up adding to the red marks, where usually, their "bites" are just slight scratches that don't bleed.
And this morning, a Cape Barren goose landed a direct hit on the ostrich bite with the weaponized knob bone on his wrist, and made it hurt far more than the ostrich initially did. Have I mentioned birds are the absolute worst thing there is?

For the OFU infobox, maybe a section with the status (complete, incomplete, something about sequels if they exist)?

Status seems like a good idea, even if most of them will be "Incomplete." As far as I know, OFUM, HFA, and IAHF are the only ones with sequels, though. And possibly the only ones that are complete, too. ... Well, okay, OFUDisc, even if they didn't exactly get through a school year. Any others?
I also feel like there should be an Author section. I'm just not sure whether to put it at the top or the bottom. "Written by:" is always at the top, but in this case it would sorta interrupt the flow of School Name - Crest - Motto - Color(s) - Minis. So, maybe under Course Coordinator(s), and then additional meta-type information after that?
Maybe continuum should be in there somewhere? But that's pretty obvious in most cases, isn't it?

Especially as I'm on mobile right now and don't see any difference with the infoboxes. :/ *sugh* I'll check out my agents' pages when I get home.
Is it not possible to manually give the infobox images a designated pixel size like images not in infoboxes? I'll play around with it some later, see what I can do. -
Alas, that's never been possible. by

Before, they just defaulted to thumbnail size.
It does seem to be taking a while for the changes to take effect on all pages. I know it WILL, since the change is in effect when I preview an existing page in edit mode, but for some reason it doesn't translate to the page itself. Seems to've worked on all the Nursery Child ones, though. Maybe because I did that last night, so it's had plenty of time to adjust. I'unno, Wikia is weird sometimes.
