So, despite being on a ship and having unreliable internet access, July has managed to craft a most excellent interlude. Which is sort of, technically, a mission. You'll see.
Appearing inside are guest appearances from Des's agents, Desdendelle and the Librarian, as well as my own Doc and Vania. July took the reigns for everyone in this story, and I'd say she did a fantastic job with our characters.
And so, for your reading enjoyment: "Beats Working," or, "Literally, Floaters" by July Flame!
Doc is now my favourite character. You can't convince me otherwise.
Plus, it's really awesome to see that your work has managed to inspire someone else into doing something with it. I wanna see more of Building Maintenance now!
Maybe I'll let Harris loose again and see what BM will do next...?
I just remembered SeaTurtle's writing who's the prologue for this story. It was pretty interesting and it shows that Floaters really do anything. HQ is can be more interesting that badfic sometimes.
( And Librarian really needs to break this Tablet/Riddle addiction, though. One day the IO will remember he exists and ... well, judging the way he has gone pretty much unscathed without doing anything during missions, it will bite him really hard.)

I read SeaTurtle's (Un)Inteligence report that lead to this intermission, so I know it's set quite far in the past by PPC standards, and I reacted this way because it shows that Librarian got this 'addiction' for years, already got in troubles because of it, but refused to learn anything from it.
It honestly feel to me that Librarian, with this mindset going for years but without suffering any major problem because of it until now, couldn't make a better target of himself to the IO, even if he was constantly saying things like 'what could possibly go wrong', 'it cannot get worst', etc...

(Besides, if I remember my days of lurking well, you already have gt some ideas set about Second Librarian. The portrait at least)
And thank you two very much for allowing me to borrow said characters and also going over it for publishing.
And again, I apologize for any SPaG errors in it, I won't have the opportunity to fix them for quite some time.
