A random Doctor Who question... by

So I've been thinking, would a Carrionite be able to counter/manipulate the Ironic Overpower?
The IO uses your own words against you. Carrionites have developed a word-based science (counterpart to our number-based). So here's the question - would those two forces somehow react to one another? Would a Carrionite be able to stop the IO from happening? Or maybe detect it coming? What do you guys think? -
Only if the situation were ironic. by

In which case, the irony would be that the Carrionites would be unable to affect it, thus affecting it themselve sin a case of double-irony. Thus the Irony would be lost.
I think I just blew my own mind. -
Nope. Sorry. by

The Ironic Overpower doesn't use your words against you. It enforces comedic clichés. So carrionites would be just as susceptible as anyone else.
Now, if you'd said an OotS bard, I could see it. -
Basing myself solely on the info in your post... by

I'd say that the Carrionites' word-based science will be affected by the IO just like everything else and will be messed with just like anything else.
