Of course it would be cold. Shame for you, though.

I can see why they call it that. It was... not nearly as fun as I had hoped, though part of it was likely my fault. Way, way too cold, and my laptop is really showing its age. Plus, I was sick the whole time. I hope I don't have the flu. Colorado is way too dry for that.
I have some new pictures of the Garfield Park Conservatory, though, if anyone's interested. I'd definitely recommend that part. Plus, Fatso's Last Stand. Best. Hotdog. Ever. Well, okay, it tasted awful because I was sick, but I could tell it would have tasted good if I wasn't.
I am always looking forward to going there on business - usually I make it about once a year or so. :) It has a nice vibe.
(And this goes for anybody, really...) Let us know if you'd like to meet up! Phobos and I live here, and Gatherings of any size are always fun. Last fall we had a great time just playing board games with Irish Samurai—and visiting the Museum of Science and Industry, too, but the point is it doesn't have to be some big wild time- and money-requiring adventure to be a good time. {= )

As I live about 4-5 hours west of the city, I know what the chill level is about as cold as Iowa right now
Though fact check on the windy city, it was called that because of the politics that went on there in the early 1900s, not the wind.

You think Chicago was cold last week? Winter is late this year. Try us again in January, when blizzard season gets here. ^_~
Sorry you were sick, though. That may have contributed to feeling cold, too.
