Thanks for the support; the magazine my teacher asked us to submit to is Every Day Fiction, which might be just a bit harder to get into than a teen lit mag, but I'm still hoping for the best.
So I'm taking a creative writing class in school and one of our assignments was to write a flash-fiction story. My teacher has said that he'll give us extra credit if we submit the story to a literary magazine in order to (possibly) get published. He's not expecting any of us to get published, because that that would be unreasonably high hopes for a group of 14-18 year olds, but even so I have decided that if I am going to submit a story to a professional magazine I would like to have it be proofread by someone other than my sister.If any of you are interested in helping me out, I put the story on Google Docs, so just give me your e-mail address and I'll send you a link

You never know - not to toot my own horn, but I know it's perfectly possible for a teenager to get flash-fiction published. (Granted, I submitted mine to a literary magazine that was for teenagers and they were running a contest, but hey.) Best of luck to you!
