It was actually the Summy Company then Warner/Chappell (Part of the Warner Brother's Conglomerate) claimed that had the copyright, not Disney. Further the decision stating that the copyright was not valid was published on 9/22 (Not everyone knows about it yet).

You are right in saying that the decision does say that Summy did not acquire ownership when they thought they did. But it is very important to note that this was only at the District Court level. Warner/Chappell has at least one appeal of right and possibly more (rehearing en banc and SCOTUS). Importantly it is very likely that Warner/Chappell appeals and there is a non-zero chance the decision will be overruled, thus validating the copyright.
