because randomly, I keep on getting redirected to a different page. Normally this wouldn't worry me... but the most recent redirect was one of those "Virus Trap" pages, which worries me

This board has been having all sorts of problems. I've solved it with adblock, and sometimes (when I'm patient enough) Tor. I still hope the T-Board finds some place to get hosted. Hanging around with possible redirects is not among my favourite activities.

It's just this sight. As I entered the sight just now I got hit with a redirect, followed by a Chrome save from a malware attack.

I'm on the Chrome OS on a school laptop, so generally it doesn't need a anti-virus software, nor do I think there is one purpose built for it
