But I really like this piece. It touches on things not a lot of PPC stories touch on — the fact that it's dangerous work; related to that, how'd the agents' parents react to them being agents, considering most of them are teens? And so on. Aside from that, I like the slice of life bit — it's nice to see how agents' life outisde the PPC looks like.

I liked how you managed to mesh a typical American house with... working in the PPC. It was a very refreshing take.
... and now one of my Ten Years Hence-styled ideas is going to pass for stealing, as I kinda imagined that my Agents' daughter would end up working in the PPC despite the fact that they left well before she was conceived.
... Ten again, the idea is so far in the making I didn't even settle on her name...
There may or may not be more to Sue than is immediately evident, but I'm glad you liked the combination there!
And not necessarily! Ideas all come from somewhere, and there is a limited range from which one can take them. I had some inspiration for this from the fact that hS favors the idea of having plenty of second (and later) generation agents set in future versions of the PPC; I just put a twist on it with thinking on if there had been shenanigans going on and both sides not knowing.
And yes, names are tricky.
I've actually had the concepts for Sax and Day for a long time! I was originally, way way way back in 2008, going to do an origin comic for Cray and how she got her alligators, which was going to include the original prototypes for Sax and Day getting drafted into helping out with all of that (and it not going all that well at all).
Thankfully for their beta versions, that never worked out, so I rehashed them for the current versions.
I'm definitely a fan. I love the family dynamic between them, love the bit about how all earths are a little different and who's to say which is the "real" one, and love the A+ parenting style by Jon and Sue. :""D
Because outside of a very few things, how could you possibly tell you're from World One, and not say, some World One and a Fraction? There are many canons that are nearly exactly like the Real World, except aren't because of small details that the average person wouldn't realize.
I'm glad you liked their parenting style! Writing them both was a lot of fun.
While you've already noted that I've got parents and children both in the PPC, the idea that they could not know is... yeah, fun. And I liked the way you wrote it, too.

And that I didn't step on any toes by giving Rosedale such a relatively early start in the PPC. I figured the infrastructure turnover would've been later on the other overall timeline compared to action's.
But yeah, considering that it's so easy for parents and kids to not actually know what the other is up to until someone literally stumbles into it by chance (or gets told by a third party), I couldn't resist giving writing the idea a go.
And in the world of Amazing Coincidences, a dog named Darcy just showed up on the TV... XD

I never actually thought about having family members within in the PPC. Aside from the famous Aviator and her little brother, of course, it never really came up. I may have to rethink one of my agent-in-progess's history...just came up with a cool idea.
The Aviator and Alex are by no means the first nor the last.

Because there really is a fantastic broader range of reading material out there, and I can tell you from experience that it's very fun to read.
Des has already recommended Nesh's spin-off, so I'll repeat here that it is fantastic but won't include a link. Phobos' work I...haven't read much of, but what little I've read was pretty great. In fact, I just reread this one (NSFW, it's a Bad Slash mission), and it's hilarious. So yes--seconding those.
As for some new recs: Araeph's Mara and Isaiah are fantastic, in the Department of Technical Errors, and are probably among the first spin-offs I ever read. Looking at the wiki page, they seem to have done only (or mainly, if my eyes just skipped over something) LotR and Pirates of the Caribbean missions, but...honestly, even if those aren't your fandoms, I'd still recommend them. They're amazing.
Another two, which have crossed over with each other a lot, are the spin-offs of Miah and Caddy-shack. This links to Agent Miah's page, and this to Maria Nightingale's. I wish I could link to Cadmar's page, since he ended up being my favorite of the lot, but it's currently blank for some weird reason that I can't figure out. The pages of Agents Cali (partnered with Miah) and Maria should link to most of the stories with him, though. Miah's agents seem to be DMS, while Caddy-shack's are Floaters; and between the two of them, they've covered a lot of canons, about half of which I'm not familiar with. The characters really ended up shining; I definitely recommend these two, and, er, hope that I didn't do it too confusingly. (Also, what's up with Cadmar's page?)
Who else...hS' Driftwood series is pretty great, and can be found in the 'Partnered with Kaitlyn' section of Agent Selene's page.
Lily Winterwood's Christianne and Eledhwen are fantastic as well.
And, certainly not least, EileenAlphabet's duo of Mittens and the RMC (Radioactive Moss Creature) is hilarious.
And one more--Fish Custard's Evie and the Fisherman are hands-down amazing. Especially Mission #6.
Beyond that--because, really, I could easily continue for several pages at this rate--I suggest checking out the Complete List of PPC Fiction. It's not always up-to-date (looking at myself here, actually), but it's pretty extensive and goes by department. It's a fantastic place to start looking.
And beyond that, try using the Random Page function on the wiki (or else ask other people for recs). You'll quite likely find something new and interesting just by doing that.

I desperately needed to get my act together and put together a list of my favorite PPC spin-offs.
So I have done just that!
Yes, there's overlap with Dawn's list, but that's because, well, they're all really good!

But now--Ha! I can link! So behold a page that actually has a lot on it: Cadmar. As I said earlier, he became my favorite of this group, so I'm quite happy to be able to link to his page. I'm definitely invested in the rest of the group as well, don't get me wrong, but Cadmar's my favorite.

This is really interesting! Also, I'm sorry that I didn't have any of my agents interact with the body-swapped ones, life just got very complicated around that time.
As for the rp, there is still the second part going on.

I was trying for a different angle with some seriousness without it losing the lightheartedness I like in the PPC.
I'm not sure how well I managed that, but I tried.
