How is everyone spending their holiday?
Happy last day of freedom to children and teenagers.
How is everyone spending their holiday?
Sitting back, grilling ribs, and watching football. Reruns. Because the season has not started yet.
I'm also playing some Fallout 3 (Well, New Vegas with Tale of Two Wastelands, but same difference) with Enclave Radio on. Usually, it's Galaxy News, but for American holidays, it's all Enclave.
Seriously, I have no idea why we both have it. I expect one country came up with it and then the other decided it was a good idea; either that or it was originally British. Something to research.
Happy Labo(u)r Day to all of us.

For you Canadians, it all started in 1872, when the hard working men (no women at the time as far as I can tell) of the Toronto Typographical Union's marched and went on strike for a 58-hour work-week. This was he major start of the labor movement in Canada. While inspired by the American labor movement, they did a lot of hard fighting of their own that earns my respect. Together, as north and south, we reminded our governments that our countries were built on the blood and sweat of the workers, and they deserve respect.
So, eat some maple pancakes, have a reindeer burger, and most importantly, take the day off to remember those who shed blood fighting for your right to rest.
