If you didn't notice we were gone - yes, the Board (and Other Board) went down overnight again. I'll be asking the YourWebApps team what's going on.
And in the tradition of the Green Ads, here's a Plortish response to the downtime:
The Scourge of Inter'Nelerors

I haven't been able to get on for a while, so I didn't notice.

Apparently it's all Linux's fault.
So the upshot is that it's not yet a fixed problem, but it's also not a perennial problem.

(Probably because I check the Board at more reasonable hours than some of you lot.) -

... that talking about 'reasonable hours' in a Board where you have people from all over the globe is kinda pointless. A reasonable hour for someone in the States might not be reasonable for me, and vice-versa — I'm seven hours ahead of the States; midnight there is seven o'clock in the morning here.

I hope this is just a temporary blip, and not the start of a trend. I can't recall the Board going down before, and now it's happened twice in quick succession. Don't think we need to do anything about it just yet (as the old saying goes, 'once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action' - we're still at the coincidence stage), and it would be good if yourwebapps can explain what happened, but if it keeps up...
It's also rather annoying that these have been problems with yourwebapps as a whole, so they've taken out our main Board and back-up simultaneously - which sort of defeats the point having a back-up!
On a slightly related note, I'm still having occasional problems with ads/redirects. Not as bad as when we were discussing it a few weeks ago, but they are definitely still there for me, and it's still worse on my tablet than it is on my laptop.

I was back here yet within the timeframe you are mentioning, so I don't how bad it was back then, but I do know that I sometimes get ads covering the whole page when I try to open a post.
