Can we place a general moratorium on party posts? by

Or at least move them to another board. I'll be willing to make a subreddit to house them.
I don't doubt that they're fun, but I can't be the only one who's annoyed that currently they're no less than 7 party posts on the front page. Didn't we have the Other Board to put stuff like this on.
Elsewise, I propose that a single main party-tread should be made and linked to on the front page, and all party threads should be started by posting a numbered and/or titled response to the main party-thread OP post. -
I agree; they're getting pretty spammy. (nm) by

Do parties count as RP? Who runs the T-Board? (nm) by

Maybe we could put them on the T-Board for the sake of making things a bit easier. Is there anything I need to know about the T-Board?

Is the T-Board the same as the Other Board now? I saw that on the Wiki, there used to be links to a Board, Other Board and T-Board, and they were separate, but now I just see the Board and T-Board. Have they combined? Has the original Other Board gone out of use?

Yep. We moved. by

Among other things, not having the Board and backup Board on the same systems is nice.
The old Other Board is still around for historical reasons (and because I haven't archived it all yet)

We do have the Other Board, however... by

It's maintained by Tomash, and we try to avoid using it too much because if we exceed a certain amount of data on there, Tomash, or the PPC as a whole, will have to pay to get more.
As for putting a general halt to parties, I think it might be possible to put them under a single thread without it getting too chaotic, but are they bumping anything off the front page that's important? -

The current hosting for T-Board limits us to 10,000 database records (there's one per post, among other things). We're currently about halfway to the limit. However, that includes all of the random test junk from when I was showing things off initially and all of the old Other Board from 2008 to 2012. So, at the rate we're going, in about five years we'll need to clear off some of the junk and in a bit less than a decade we'll need to think about some archiving (or finding more suitable hosting).
So, tl;dr, feel free to use T-Board for RPs and such. The problem is far in the future, and we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

It actually is currently over ten years old. If you're feeling like checking how old it is, check the Plort page on the wiki, grab the link to the Plort Wiki itself, then check the changing maps of the Baronies and the years said maps represent. I think that should give you an accurate idea.
