I still remember when I got the first book (It was four years after its initial release, but shush). I was seven, and it was the first book I've read on my own... well, ever. I stayed up late and in the corner of our shared bedroom (Before I had my room finished, I was sleeping on a sliding sofa) read the first three chapters right away.

Hmm, the next books came to me in a variety of ways. The second I got, once again, from my aunt. The third one I bought myself while on a shopping trip for shoes. The Goblet of Fire I actually borrowed from a classmate, but accidentally tear a little of the final page... So we've decided to buy her a new book, and I got to keep hers. The next two I actually got pre-ordered so that I'd get them right on the release day. And... I think I bought the last one the day after Midnight Release.

So yeah, good times. I still adore the series, and even though there are some things I would like to see play out differently, I wish to thank both the author, and the fanbase for the best eight years of my childhood! :D

Also, as far as I've heard, the US version changed the name, because the majority of Americans were unfamiliar with the lore and legend behind the Philosopher's Stone...
