In the future... there will be dinosaurs.
No, sorry, wrong future.
In the future, the Protectors of the Plot Continuum are scattered across the multiverse. Old tasks are carried out by new groups, with little resemblence to their old forms. Look deeper into the swirling mists of time, and see the myriad homes the Protectors have built themselves...
I just got to reading the bit about the Harpers. I need to write one of them now. And resist the urge to involve Jenni, because that's just too easy.
I am wondering how long Andalites live, though. Conclusive information doesn't seem to be readily available.
~Neshomeh, plotting.
I think they'd actually be really interesting to write - a potentially fire-lizard-partnered roving recruiter/trainer is something that hasn't really been possible in the PPC before.
(Interesting question. The best source would probably be The Andalite Chronicles... which is boxed up somewhere inaccessible. Oh well...)

I have a couple of old Pern RP characters who might do with a bit of reworking... I never did flesh out the one journeyman's sister, either. Opportunity!
As for Andalites, the most reliable thing I could turn up in a Google search was a remark by Ax that if he lived to be 200, he would never escape Elfangor's shadow. Trouble is, how much of a reach from the average lifespan is that number, and what kind of years is he talking about? Andalite years are the length of about seven Earth years, so their centuries would be about 700 Earth years long. If he's talking about 200 Andalite years, that's a long, long time. I tend to assume he's talking about Earth years.
So, I dunno, maybe something like 150-170 is safe?

... you can probably safely assume our Andalites are around in 70+.
Which, with a few other characters, invites the question of how well - thirty years on - these characters remember the PPC before the Sundering.

< . . . What? Is it not traditional to address young people as 'sonny' when regaling them with tales from a time before their birth?>
Hey, those stories have to come from somewhere, right? Not everyone has parents from back then. *g*
Not that Ilraen would be ancient by 2070, assuming an upper limit of 170-ish. I guess his biological age is about 20 right now, so he'd only be around 80. Kinda middle-aged. Memory ought to be fine. I do imagine he'd have been physically knocked around quite a bit, though. He's slated to acquire some scars before 2019, and there is some fighting to overthrow the DoE and the rest, yeah?
Anyway, he'd be on the training side of Harpering, that much is certain. He even comes in the right color. ^_^

Looks like great fun!
Like hS, I also need sleep, so will have to return tomorrow!

And, to forestall the inevitable question (not from you): no, you don't need Permission to participate.
But if you ask the question, you do need a note from your parents. :P
