I DID IT! :D
I did it kind of funky this year. I didn't finish the story i was doing last year (the story I've been working on for way too long) so I picked up where I left off and finished it, then continued on the next installment. I made it in by a hair of 67 words on their word count validator, but 1,553 by MS Word's count. Here's hoping I do even better next year.
So who else participated? -

It went downhill from then. But I won't give up on it, even though editing it will be work.

I squeezed the remaining words in, wrote epilogue chapters and, dunno, kind of alternative versions of the big scenes, which are going to be merged into one.

For the first time ever... by

Or the first time in six years, since that's how long I've been trying--
Broke the finish line! By 62 words, and I'm looking at this thing going "Man, I've got another 20,000 at least before I'm satisfied with his arc."
But still. I really didn't think I'd finish this year, but the last-minute push was so worth it. My friend spent the last day pushing me to write, and I'm ridiculously happy. Every year, I wind up thinking "Well, this didn't work out, but next year!" So it's kinda cool to think it finally paid off.
Now - who's up for round two? :D -

For me it was the professor who ran this creative writing seminar I attended last year who did the pushing. Only, she wasn't pushing the whole time; she just emailed me about it at the beginning of November because I'd been the one to tell her this actually existed. Because of that, I started five days late. But I still made it!

I meant to hit at least 40,000 this year, but my laptop charger cord died on day 14. I hate my life...

Didn't make it to 50k. by

But I did make it to the 30k goal I had set for myself after Hurricane Sandy came and knocked out my power for two weeks. Even that makes me feel good, that I wrote and average of 1,000 words a day.
Plus, even if I had gotten to 50k I wouldn't have been done with the story. From now on I'm just going to be working on it when I have ideas and not just to push out words. By the way I work I'll probably finish the first draft by March. -

I only made it to 39k this year, which is still better than last year, but not enough to win. I don't really mind losing though, it's all just for fun for me.

Stupid count cut off well over a thousand words on mine. >:[
Mine's about a medieval fantasy war between two factions of humans and how a ragtag bunch of kids find their way to each other and slowly (partially thanks to the machinations of a benevolent Grim Reaper figure) discover that they all are either connected to or hold secrets concerning the cause of the war, and thus are their land's only hope for peace. -

And I won. Dragged myself over the finish line with a cold and too little sleep.
Right now I can't stand the sight of my script so I've started editing the story I did in August for Camp NaNo, now that I can finally stand the sight of that. :D -

I kind of goofed around during the month and missed the mark.
Actually, I initially brought up the topic of NaNaWriMo (October, it was), so I was in it a bit early.
