Not much we're missing out on anyhow - most fanworks that are videos are just random memelords making characters' bodies defy physics and similar stuff.

Maybe footnotes with links to specific time marks, too, if audio samples would enhance the spork. Might be necessary to host the video yourself to ensure it doesn't up and vanish, though.
I wouldn't try this in a hurry myself, but I reckon it's doable.

I think classical mythology developed in the same way creepy-pastas do, with the substitution of slightly drunk guys sitting next to a fire for random people on the internet. I fully expect there are a large number of bad Heracles stories that got forgotten.

Like conspiracy theories - people aren't sure how something is possible, so they come up with an explanation. Only difference between is that with conspiracy theories, there's already a better explanation.
