What kind of role-playing? Forum-based, the video game sort, tabletop...?
Hello. My name is Rosalind. I'm a teenage girl who lives in Sydney, Australia, and I've been writing since I was five and role-playing since I was nine. I discovered PPC a while ago and I've been interested for quite some time, but I held off on joining for some reason.
My fandoms include 'Harry Potter', 'The Hunger Games', 'Supernatural', and 'Star Trek'. Hope to see you around!
Hello and welcome! I'm a Harry Potter and Hunger Games fan too, and I've been meaning to watch Supernatural for a while now, but for right now I'm behind on my novel for NaNoWriMo so I really should be concentrating on that instead. Anyway, have a propeller cap; it will take you wherever you need to go and runs on AA batteries!
Have a Schrodinger's Cookie (may or may not contain chocolate chips).
Role-playing since you were nine? I'm still trying to get a friend of mine (friend being a loose term) to GM a game of Mutants and Masterminds... or DnD... or Marvel Heroic Roleplaying... or anything, really. Do you have a favorite game?
Welcome a-Board, newbie! Please deposit your sanity in the labeled bin, as you won't be needing it much here.
I'm sure you hear enough jokes about kangaroos and koalas, so have a genuine deer, straight from the forests of New Jersey. Seriously, take a bunch. They're everywhere. 100% toxic waste and annoying reality television show free, just for you.
Also, a friendly hint: if you want to reply to someone, instead of hitting "post reply" on your original post, hit it when you're viewing their comment. It makes the conversation a bit easier to follow.
Welcome to the Board! Have some of my hydrophobic water to commemorate the event. The substance's chemical formula, derived from many painful experiments, is as follows: H2Awesome.
Thanks to you, too!
My favourite series so far is TOS, although I'm much better acquainted with the movies. Numbers 2 and 3 are my favourites.
I'm not a D&Der, but I do play RuneScape and Star Trek Online... I prefer forum, play-by-post role-playing.
In addition to the second Board, we also have a Dreamwidth RP comm, which is sadly underutilized. I'd love to see it get some activity going on. {= )
Also, hi and welcome!
~Neshomeh
I might be willing to help out over there - it's been a while since I've RP'd. :D
I don't meet fellow Runescapers often. Cool! *has about six different accounts, most of them a few years old*
I like play-by-post RP games, m'self, and first learned how to do it in the good ol' PPC. :D I do recommend D&D if you like RPGs though; I got introduced to it a coupla years ago and am now an addict. :p
Ooh, a fellow PbPer! I never thought I'll see one away from Tropes...
-Looks at all of the characters he abandoned due to a drastic drop-off in his free time-
Oh man, RPing as a role is incredibly hard for me to do right, but play-by-post makes me turn into a pretentious god-modding asshole.
Good on you if you can handle it better than I usually do.
Well, sometimes things like that get done on the Other Board (http://disc.yourwebapps.com/Indices/241484.html). Although, it looks to have been quiet over there for quite some time...
Star Trek Online? I've considered giving that a go eventually, but I doubt I'll manage to soon, sadly. Is it any good?
Also, TOS - I confess I haven't seen all that much of that. I'm more of a Voyager person, although that was quite a while back, now. I do enjoy First Contact, though, and the latest film and Nemesis were good. I also got a fair bit of Trek rubbed off from my friends at university.
It's brilliant!

Let's see, you can have a honey bear, three plastic sporks, a package of staples (Good for putting things together, but you'll have to find your own stapler, I'm afraid,) and a package of dry spaghetti.
I'm just getting caught up on (read: watching until my eyes bleed) Supernatural. I've just about gotten halfway through season 2, and have missed most of season 1.
I hear Australia is nice this time of year. :)
Greetings, new friend! I would normally offer you your pick from the sack of venomous invertebrates, but living in Australia, you probably have access to more than enough venomous things! Instead, please enjoy this basket of complimentary antivenins.
It seems you are an old hand at general nerdery! Most impressive!Hopefully, there will be many opportunities to discuss fandom things with you!
Hi, have some fudge!
Which ruleset do you prefer for roleplaying?
I second my sister Apricot's question of which Star Trek series, and also, who are your favorite characters? I like TNG, but I also like Voyager a lot. My favorite characters are Data, Spock, Seven of Nine, and Q.
Have a tribble as a welcome gift. :)
Hello and welcome from Portland Oregon, land of the hipsters and home of the strange. its nice to see another Role-Playing fan. I played D&D with my family for as long as I can remember. As a gift, I present you with your very own Facebiter Squig!
That's so cool that you live in Australia. What's your favorite Star Trek series? I'm a huge Trekkie.
Have some bubble wrap as a welcome gift.
Welcome to the Board! Have some chocolate, won't you?
As stated in the handy little title seen above: hullo! It's nice to meet you, and I'd like to welcome you to the board! Here, have an Awake- a mysterious being that is made entirely of caffeine, adrenaline, and misused adjectives. Feed it espresso and love! Or espresso and hatred. Either works as long as espresso is involved in some shape or form. If you do forget to feed it, the only consequence is something alluded to as the Tribble affect.
Thanks, guys!
Yep, I'm a Trekkie. A minor Trekkie, but still. I have an idea for an agent, but I gotta wait.
I read the first mission in OS, the one with Laurel.
I see that Cyba already pointed you toward the Constitution and TOS, so I don't need to do that. The IRC channel is where people hang around and talk, and you're welcome to drop by and say hi.
Also, have a cup of tea. Just don't let the leaves eat you. (Agent Des will be very disappointed if they will, and will probably have to make Bleeptea out of them...)
Welcome to the PPC! As a welcoming gift, have this bag of NMs&NMs and an internet huggle!
-huggles-
Greetings, madam Aussie!
Have a Totally Not Stolen Bag of Holding from a friendly American bespectacled eccentric author-to-be!
It's totally not stolen. Don't let those bounty hunter types tell you otherwise.
As a welcome gift have a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. Watch out for the acid ones.
It's wonderful to have you here, Ilesan. We love having new people, especially enthusiastic people. :D Have a bag of pebbles and a Random Shiny Object, and do wander around and see what interesting things you can find.
And ask questions, too, we like questions. :3
Greetings and salutations! I suppose, first things first, if you haven't already, please read the Constitution and the Original Series.

Don't forget to leave your sanity at the door!
Secondly: ah, I see you are a Star Trek fan! In that case, have this Starfleet comm. badge my agents seem to have acquired from somewhere.
Thirdly: have you read any/many missions yet? If so, which?
