On the Discord today, Grundle brought up the idea of "a Plortesque region set in the Periphery with each of us owning a star system". Thoth suggest the SpacePPC as a name. Larfen casually reminded us that there was a space plort that did exist, but everyone forgot about, that Delta made. Delta brought a link over from the original document (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1acIdovoI4LU3axC0lg05IR2A9a8Zrczjz9aF2m-20/edit?usp=drivesdk) and I wanted to bring it back to life. I personally am going to start writing a new story, and encourage others to do the same.
If this gathers enough attention, I would make a 3d model of parts of the station in Unreal Engine 4, or some other engine. If I'm not feeling up to it, maybe Minecraft instead. But I would definitely do it.
(This is really, really cool and thank you, Delta, for bringing this to me.)

The wings on the engineer’s back indicated that that he had avian genetics.
Besides "I liked it" I have nothing to say that Larfen didn’t already say in more eloquent words than I could find.

Fitting that it's sort of on Pratchett, at the end, being you've got some very Pratchetty-bits about the story, ay? It was a fun story all around, and I especially liked how you described the space station - real evocative, really speaks to a lot of passion, I suppose, on the part of that particular character.
Also, that little insight into the workings of the technicians. It's very, Iunno, relateable, there?
Though I got a couple nitpickies about here and there:
'the advertisements the sold the dream it embodied' - probably ought to have it as 'the advertisements that sold the dream'
And, errr. I had another one but now I can't find it. Can't have been that bad of a mistake if I can't find it though, eh? -

I would love to be part of this. I'll have to read that fic all the way through later, as I have other Board things to do, but that looks really good!

Write a thing! Write several things! There's some guidelines after the end of the fic, but the premise is very Plortian- all us Boarders are people who visit SIF-10 and station.

I'll see what I can think of for a character for myself.

This really is an interesting setting, and it's a good thing it's been resurrected. I might contribute to it one day, assuming I can actually work up the will to write. :P
However, there's one thing that bugs me about it. This is not the setting or creator's fault, but rather my own. For, you see... I took an embarrassingly long time to get Delta's ship's name. I will go sulk in my shame now. -

And it gets worse, too- "Sif-10" is also a reference. Good luck!
(Also, fair warning: Rosemary is a reference to a specific canon, and I do not know if you have read it or not.) -

You took the PPC postcode or whatever and flipped it upside down and spun it all around and squished and squashed it and it came out with sif-10 or something like that. Nerd stuff.
And, errr, I've definitely not read it. I can guarantee that with absolute certainty.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Oh, man, it had better not be Homestuck. -

It's back baby! by

Ah, how excited I was when I saw a Plortesque setting - but for science fiction, rather than fantasy! Ah, the wide vistas that were opened up before me which were all then immediately closed when everyone forgot about them!
But it's back baby, and better than ever. Or, er, untouched, I suppose, until we do stuff in it.
Anyhow, I might try writing something in it, especially considering my uni workload is kind of winding down a touch, now. Here's hoping it gets more love now than it did last time, ay?
