I liked the interaction here. It's a good example of an agent pair classically not getting along, but still respecting each other, and being willing to live and work together in spite of their differences.
I like the potential behind an agent having a bounty on them in a continuum they'll inevitably end up working in, too.

That said, now go read Scape's new thing, because it's excellent and much better than this.
We'll see how Dax handle her 'vacation' from Intelligence (You're not getting the idea that Intelligence is the worst Department to work for out of my head). Also curious to see how Lorson's story will come into play in this spin-off.
Oh, one last thing... Does Dax do Sunset Shimmer too?
I don’t think Intel would be too bad to work for, assuming you got to go into fics for recon frequently. Still, Dax is happy to get into an action department, and Lorson is... well, he’s not usually happy.

It's still up in the air if Lorson and Dax will get along better or worse as time passes. I guess I'll see as I go.
As for the bounty, that's just a small part of the backstory I hope to make a bit clearer later down the line. :)
(I know, right? When I went to look, I had to do a search through the page because I couldn't believe it was still open. Lucky me.)
Dax is a lot of fun to be around, and feels very much like the antithesis of Agent Ix - someone at peace with their body and identity via its mutability as oppose to someone at war with themselves over bodies they force themselves not to have change. Meanwhile, Lorson seems like someone it would be interesting to get to know, and I look forward to reading exploits of their careers. =]
But if we kept arguing about this we'd be here forever. Agree to disagree? :P
Lorson has a lot of backstory to him that'll hopefully be revealed as I write more with him, and Dax will be going along for the ride. I'm already working on their first mission so I hope it delivers.
