If a trilogy of Tetris movies is making it's way into the theaters, this news isn't much of a stretch.
Still weird, tough.

Did we really need this?! I swear, movie executives have no imagination these days...
It's just Bay's company that's producing the movie, not Bay himself.
Bay produced the TMNT live-action movies, and look how those turned out!
The statement by Paramount that Bay isn't directly involved wasn't released until just yesterday, so chalk it up I guess to both me and my agents merely going off what we knew at the time.
I'm still questioning the very concept of a live-action Dora movie in the first place, but I guess that clarification does soften the blow somewhat.

Is this based on the DtE live action trailer/series CH did?
That was hilarious, by the way, and I would totally recommend watching it.
It's really happening, and confirmed by multiple news outlets too.
I haven't seen the CH parody myself, but I have a habit of distancing myself from anything related to that show, even parody/satire. I've found myself getting irrationally angry at the mere mention of it for years, which is bizarre even to myself - because really, what kind of person would experience complete and total revulsion over an innocuous preschooler's cartoon? :P
