You did not teach me why reading was worth it - I knew far before I met you. But your touch has still been clearly visible in my own story.

You wanna know what my first-ever TRPG character was named? Expecto Patronem, more commonly called Expelliarmus.

You wanna know what one of the biggest mainstays of my daydreams is? Magic of all kinds. The two hands-down most frequent systems are the Will and the Word (from the Belgariadverse) and yours.

You wanna know who has a small collection of wands on her shelf? Me.

I don't think there was any book series that impacted my childhood quite as much as this one.

I was there that last day. At the launch for DH. I remember by brother locking himself in his room to read it. I remember seeing the films for the first time. I remember it all.

I remember the books that taught me about reading. Not the numbers and letters and words, no: about why it was all *worth it*. About how reading could take you to worlds beyond this one.

Thank you, Harry. You changed my life. I don't know where I'd be without you.
