From the depths, it rises!
...or, you know. From out of my suddenly very busy life (school. Just...school) comes an interlude I wrote back in March and rediscovered recently. It's since been betaed and given a summary, so now here is...
"Darkest Fears"
What haunts the immortal? Bad dreams send Jacques Bonnefoy running to his family.
(Spoilers for the ending of Torchwood season three)
Rating...barely T? There's, well, a minor bit of nightmare fuel. If you've seen Torchwood, I doubt it'll bother you much; if you've seen Doctor Who, same note.
Enjoy!

Short and sweet and sad, at the same time. It's an interesting thing to think about, for the agents who are clones of canon characters: potentially seeing the decisions made by their alternates, and the consequences thereof, and wondering if they would have made the same decisions in that situation. Tricky thing to think about.
Minor thing, but I like the different activities you show the kids doing in the Nursery. Even though the "camera" only shows them, it still lends itself to a picture of a larger, chaotically active room full of kids.
—doctorlit has an interlude in draft form that finally describes the physical layout of the Nursery, really needs to get that into beta-worthy shape -
